I am so glad I was directed to this discussion forum. I believe it is a great place to share and learn. I am extremely interested in Jefferson's FACT program. I plan to apply for May 2012. I just wanted to reach out to anyone with similar interest and your thoughts on the process. I would like to know who else plans to apply for May 2012 and if your pre-req's have been completed.
Just to share a little about myself, I am completing my BS in Public Health at an online University (3 weeks left!) and have all the pre-req's completed. I am just excited about this next journey.
I also love how Jefferson FACT students automatically are accepted into the MSN program. My goal is to become a Women's Health NP, and Jefferson seems to be the way to go.
I would also love to hear from current students as well.
Conlon I am getting nervous as well!!! I haven't heard anything either. I'm hoping to hear something this week. I don't like waiting. I get more and more nervous.
Do you have any reason for hoping you'll hear this week in particular? Or maybe just optimism? ; )
If they are really planning on telling us whether or not we are accepted in Early January, and there is a mandatory Interview, it has to be soon. Otherwise it will be right around the Christmas holidays.... which would be strange but possible I suppose.....
Just being optimistic! I'm thinking that we should get word soon because we don't know how long it will take to hear after interviews. In my mind, I'm thinking they need 2 weeks after to make decisions. I know people used to hear right away but it may be different with the new system. So, hearing this week would give time to schedule and time to review. That is my logic! Lol
Hm. One of the reps at the table for the nursing program. Maybe she thought I was asking about a different program? But basically she said it they only interview if they have specific questions about your app. But I could be wrong. I guess we'll find out!
Please update us about whether we will be interview or not. I am dying to find out. Life would be a lot more simple if the interview process is omitted. If I don't get accepted to Jeff, my next choice will be Drexel or UMDNJ. I don't want to waste anymore time or money and take useless courses.
Ok, I spoke to Ms. kelley. (i feel like such a pain). They are definitely conducting interviews. She said she can do them up until Jan. So my guess is that there isn't much of a wait after interviews to hear a decision. I'm nervous because I think I call too much! I hope she doesn't hold that against me. i told her I won't call anymore! Lol
I totally know how you feel about calling the school. The last time that I called, I felt like a pain in the butt and I had to promise not to call again:)
Hey Guys, I get an email this afternoon inviting me for an interview which will take place in Dec or Jan based on my availability. I need to clear up if this is a phone interview or in person. i'm sure everyone should be getting something soon.
