Hello all! I am transferring from UAB to Jeff State after two unsuccessful attempts at getting into the nursing program over there! I just spoke to the adviser and will be applying with 224.5 points. I had 2 A's and a B in my pre-reqs, and studied for a month and got an 88.7 on the Teas-V. She said that my application was very competitive, and I find it ironic/surprising that I can be competitive at one program and "not on the radar" so to speak at another! Ha! I guess it goes to show that you should never give up on your dreams -- if one avenue won't work just try a new one!
Anyways, I know it's super early, but I couldn't resist starting this post!! I hope to make some new friends so we can help each other study and be the best we can be! Good luck to all!
Well I hear Shelby is awful not sure how true that is cause I have been getting second hand information from the friends of people who go to the Shelby campus. But I work with a woman who was attending the day program at Jeff State and absolutely hated it. She said the instructors there were not very knowledgeable about what they were teaching and also that what they presented on test was not the same as the lectures. The same woman b is now in nights and weekends and she loves it.
Lol the waiting is horrible but you are right at least we know some what of time frame. If anyone hears please post so we can start looking, Does anyone know how they do the rejection letters? If you don't mind me asking what kind of points does everyone have? I have 185pts. I didn't do so well on my tease test but hopefully it will be enough:) anyone know what the cut off usually is? They told me 170 but not sure if that is right.

I'm currently a first semester student at Jeff State main campus and I really love it. I can't speak on Shelby campus but the Jefferson campus is a great place to become an RN. You all have an excellent chance at getting in the program. I wish you all success!!!!
