Jeff State Fall 2014 Hopefuls

Published

Hey everyone! I know this is sort of early, but I am planning on applying for the Fall 2014 nursing program at the Jeff State / Center Point campus! Looking for other Fall hopefuls :nurse::up:

Does anyone know whether the background check website automatically submits our background checks or if we have to print something and send it to the school?

You print your invoice and turn it in, but the BG results will automatically go to them

Did anyone else have trouble with the Verified Credentials website not accepting their code? I've contacted the secretary and I'm still waiting on her to reply.

Mine worked. Which program are you in? I'm sure someone will send you the code you need

The night and weekend program. I think my code is right but for some reason it pops up saying it's invalid. KKPCP-67272 is what I have. Thanks for replying! I hope Ms. B is able to help me, I hate to not have it in before the deadline.

The deadline was today..

I know. But i didn't see a time it had to be completed by on there. I just had my son last week (3 wks early) so I have been too busy, but the site hasn't worked correctly today.

(MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME - PLEASE DO NOT POST NAMES OF THOSE IN YOUR PROGRAM PER TERMS OF SERVICE) was on vacay this week will be back Monday for orientation...and I have a friend that was accepted into the summer program but because she had just had a baby right before school started they made her wait till fall...it had something to do with her physical...so check on that

Very true. Nursing school is very strict, last semester this guy was saying he had just gotten off work from a twelve hour shift and came to class and then we had Clinicals that evening and this girl who was repeating the semester told him not to say that too loud because this guy in her class had gotten a failing grade in Clinicals because he was pulling doubles and coming to Clinicals. Be very careful about that, they want you at 100% mentally and physically when coming in there because it literally breaks you down, if you're already drained I guess they feel like you're incompetent. So please be careful in saying that when if you have to explain why you didn't get yours in. And congrats to the girl who has the new baby :-)

Okay thanks Overcomer and Focused1. I will wait and see Monday. Now I see why I couldn't get in touch with her any yesterday. The advisor knew I was pregnant and I told her I wanted to have the baby before my due date (July 16/ orientation) so that I could be there. I got what I asked for... lol. Thanks again.

Hmmm... I hope I'll be ok... I'm pregnant due in October, so even if I have a c-section that will give me plenty of recovery time before clinicals. I hope it's not an issue!

I don't think it'll be a problem, I knew someone that had her baby during her 1st semester and she had no problems with getting back into classes and clinicals.
