Jeff State Fall 2013 hopefuls

Hi Everyone,

I just applied to The RN program at Jeff State and I wanted to get a thread going for other Fall 2013 hopefuls. If you're like me, the next couple months of waiting is going to be torture and I just thought it would be helpful to have somewhere to go to help pass the time with others in our situation :) I'm pretty optimistic and think I have a good chance, but you just never know! What kind of scores did everyone apply with? I wonder what the cutoff will be? I was told it could be late July before we hear anything...anyone hear something different? Also, who is applying for part-time and who is applying for full-time?

Does anyone have info about Jeff State remediation? I failed med-surg miserably this summer and have to remediate. Is it easy? Is the teacher nice? How big is the class? Is it only on the Jefferson campus?

So I just finished looking under learning modules on blackboard for health assess and pharmacology...starting to freak out now! I mean, what did we get ourselves into! Gonna try to get ahead before class starts, but seriously...I'm feeling a little less excited and a little more anxious about actually getting started :) Anyone else feeling this way?

Yes! I have already watched a couple health assessment videos, began reading the health assessment book, and worked on dosage calculations! I figure since I'm out of school now, it's time to get ahead. :)

Just wondering how your getting onto blackboard? It hasn't been letting me in. Did you also get an email about which books to get? Feeling behind.

They only admit in the fall, so once a year :)

I don't think we can access the learning modules anymore. I haven't been able to since they did the updates this week. Anyone else able to?

Me either! I was trying to get ahead, oh well :( Also, those of you in night and weekends with me, we will not ever have labs on Saturday! Maybe it's just me, but I was unaware until a friend of mine sent an email to our instructor. :)
