I'm going into 4th semester in January and was wondering if anyone has any advice as far as the last 2 semesters.

Okay good. I brought a check just in case. Thanks. Is anyone else having problems opening the links for Fundamentals on Blackboard. I can't open any of it.

I totally forgot about the $43 for tomorrow. Will they take a debit card or a check, or does it have to be cash?

Okay so class starts tomorrow at the Shelby Campus, and I have nothing ready for Fundamentals. I wanted to be prepared but I can't get any of the links to open. I can open Pharmacology and Health Assessment stuff but not Fundamentals. Anyone else having problems with this?

Well thanks for the info. I was hoping we WOULDN'T be going to UAB. I hate going downtown. Anyway, I'm sure we'll find out more info at Orientation. I know some Jeff state students did clinicals at Shelby Baptist, but I don't know which campus they were from. I work there, and it's only 30 minutes from my house, so I'd love to do my clinicals there. Probably wont get that lucky though.

I'm excited and nervous at the same time. I HAVE to work at least part-time, so I'm just ready to know what our exact schedule will be. That way I'll know what days I can work. What hospitals do they use for clinicals? I'd really like to know, because that's another part I'm nervous about. Just ready to get this all going :)

Not currently pregnant, I don't think:) School is a little over a year and a half, so I was just wondering, just INCASE it were to happen.

So, will Jeff State let you take a semester off during nursing school if you are pregnant (and you still have your spot when you come back)?

For past or present Jeff state students: What hospitals do they use for clinicals? Also, do clinicals take up a whole day, or do you ever go to one after class? Just wondering...Thanks in advance!

Congrats! Which Campus? And where did they send your acceptance info?

I was in a nursing program before at another school (several years ago). I was trying to do too much, and I only failed by 0.2 points (not even a whole point). At that time, if you failed, you had to sit out for 2 years. I was devastated! I finally decided to give it another go, so here I am. I am excited to get back in school, but I do remember how time consuming it was, and unfortunately I still have to help pay bills:) I have worked as a cna in a hospital for the last 5 years, and so I've had my share of the healthcare field already. I love doing patient care, but I am definitely ready to get this thing started so I can be an RN and make more money- still doing what I love:)
