Hi Everyone,
I just applied to The RN program at Jeff State and I wanted to get a thread going for other Fall 2013 hopefuls. If you're like me, the next couple months of waiting is going to be torture and I just thought it would be helpful to have somewhere to go to help pass the time with others in our situation :) I'm pretty optimistic and think I have a good chance, but you just never know! What kind of scores did everyone apply with? I wonder what the cutoff will be? I was told it could be late July before we hear anything...anyone hear something different? Also, who is applying for part-time and who is applying for full-time?
Look forward to meeting you all and GOOD LUCK to EVERYONE!
I was told that the codes weren't required when I called yesterday. She didn't say anything about them changing and not to order them. She did tell me to go ahead and order the skills pack we WILL need it for 104. I think we need an orientation do-over. I hope it isn't like this the whole time.
Shelby day program is EXTREMELY disorganized. 1st semester sucks but 2nd is even worse. There's a new very, very easy pharm teacher so you all should ace that class & health assessment. Fundamentals is tough though. We never used our codes despite beginning told we needed them. The only good thing about the codes is an e-version of the book. My nursing lab wasn't helpful to me but some might like it. Nursing school has been a MAJOR disappointment so far. It's 99% self study consisting of reading, videos & practicing with a classmate.

Haha, I saw you! I tried to ask questions several times, but they never saw my hand...oh well. I guess everyone got the email yesterday about what books to buy, etc. Now my only question is, who do we turn everything in to again? I tried to turn in my receipt of payment for the malpractice insurance and ID card and the women told me to hold on to it and turn it in on the first day of class....that's not what I had in my notes from orientation, but whatever...I'm just gonna do whatever they say, no matter how many times it changes.
