January 2012 Scott and White Internships

Hello all! Anyone else out there applying for the Scott and White Internships in Temple?

I was told they either call or email you if you do not make it. As far as scrubs the nurses wear cute undershirts and some navy tops that have a small amount of designs on them. I have seen them weaar all kinds of tops but I would wait until you are told for sure because I know it varies from floor to floor. That is great you were a tech in the ER and I am sure that will help you alot. I was a tech at the VA hospital but I was all over all the units and all adult of course. I guess that wont help me in peds huh....lol I am excited for both of us and congrats to you as well. I will try and reach some people in ER to ask questions about the internship for you k. How old is your child? I live like 10 minutes from Temple so if you need any help let me know k and I will be more than glad to halp out in any way I can. I know we will prob meet at orientation on the first week. I would give you my number but I do not want to broadcast it on here...lol

Was it easy to find the area for the interviews? Are they all in the same area. For some reason I am unable to locate the email with that information. I am interviewing for the ICU Internship.

I am so sorry but I have no clue where to go for ICU interviews. I got into a pedi cohort and my interview was at the childrens hospital. I would call Scott and White HR 254-724-2111 which is switchboard number. Hope this helps

Thank you! I think I found it. I believe it is in the South Tower room 286. My interview is in the morning. Congratulations on getting into Pedi!

Good Luck TexLady. Yeah I've read on previous threads it was in South Tower 286, mine was in the South Tower in the ER. Do let us know how you do. Good luck!! Hopefully we can all meet during general nursing orientation!!
