January 2014 NLN scores info for kings borough kbcc

those that took the test on the 6th/7th...? took it myself 1st time, had to really rush without much thought just to finish it, overall score it gave me was *121* , I wonder what the process is in KBCC, do they then compare this score with the KB students ? or national? my gpa is 3.94... the english part killed it for me, the last tricky vocal section I guess almost all the way though.

Hi, what are usually the options for clinical days, I have evening work on fridays, ... do they give u options...

I know there was Tuesday, Thursday, Friday. It's not a guarentee what day you will get for the first semester your schedule is picked for you by the department. My clinical was Tuesday from 4-11 pm. I chose to do night class and night clinical.

for the they ask you to provide date of graduation, and I do not know when that would be. Does anyone have any idea? thank you.

Is it also indicating that the bio 51 class you have registered now could have conflict with the 17 & 18 nursing class the department has picked for you on the orientation day????

I really wouldn't reccomend taking bio51 with your first semester of nursing classes! See if you can take it in the summer. Since it's your first semester and the dept picks your schedule for you, if you plan on still taking bio51 w/ NUR 17 & 18 then your going to have to see if you can change the bio to a diff section.

Hey @nursingstudentjess! I just wanted to know how you balanced your school and work schedule while taking both NUR 17 and 18?

Also, do you think it is absolutely necessary to have a laptop while in the program? Or will a tablet be just fine? I'm in the market for a new tablet/laptop and I was thinking maybe the microsoft surface might work out cause it serves as both. But I really value your advice and wanted to know what you think. :)

My job was not willing accommodate my school schedule so I lost my fulltime hrs and became perdiem basically on call. I worked at most 1 day a week. Many of my classmates were able to handle working and school. It's all about balance, studying smart and knowing your limits ..

To be honest I bought a MacBook Pro I only used it to watch mandatory videos for lab, to use ATI which is a very helpful program the dept implemented, and print powerpoints. One other thing my labtop came in handy for was the CDs full of practice questions that came with my books. If the school gets a grant for it they give out iPods for the semester (you return them at the end of the semester). So I personally would go with the labtop.

Hey guys, just wondering if anyone knows what up with the uniform they said no scrubs, so then what do we wear? Also does anyone know if we have to get all 7 books for nur 18
