those that took the test on the 6th/7th...? took it myself 1st time, had to really rush without much thought just to finish it, overall score it gave me was *121* , I wonder what the process is in KBCC, do they then compare this score with the KB students ? or national? my gpa is 3.94... the english part killed it for me, the last tricky vocal section I guess almost all the way though.

Congratulations @hopeforfuture!!!

Congrats @hopeforfuture ;)

Thank you guys! Wish you all good luck. Now the next step is to get all paperwork done and submitted. Getting the letter means I am 50% done. Good luck to all :)

@jayceecee your welcome!

Here's some tips!

- make copies of ALL your paperwork you give to the dept!

- do all the mandatory reading before the first class, and stay on top if it throughout the course!

- do tons of NCLEX practice questions it will help a lot when tests roll around. ( invest in some supplemental books to complement your textbook. I had fundamentals reviews and rationales)

- do not bleach your uniforms use oxyclean bleaching will yellow them!

That's just a few off the top of my head!

You're an angel!! You're insight is greatly appreciated!! @nursingstudentjess

Yayyyyyy.....i am in! Missnomer, i believe you are in too since u said ur got similar english as mine (if you got good gpa).

Anyway, i got my acceptance letter but my cunyfirst account has not updated yet. So just wait for the letter...

I am so happy that I got in...

Yep, I received my letter a few hours ago. Congrats, Hopeforfuture.

And about the phone call, I called regarding retaking the NLN in May or June because I was not confident about getting in this semester (I like to prepare). I never asked if I got accepted nor did I call with the intention of asking whether I got in or not.

Those of you that were curious, I scored above 130.

Thank god. I got my letter today. I am in.

Dear Nursingstudentjess,

Could you please provide some advice:

Would you recommend a new nursing student take microbio51 together with other nursing classes at the same time? I am appreciate if you could also share some of your fellow students experiences.

thanks in advance.

im in too, I think they took more ppl in this term,

I would absolutely NOT reccomend to take NUR 18, NUR 17 and BIO51 together. I opted to take BIO51 during this current winter semester, so if you can sign up for summer. Nursing classes take some adjustment to get used to, it's a lot of info throw at you all at once. I think you would be better off just focusing on the nursing classes.

Amazon has become my best friend for books! I ordered all my books from them so far for the program. I personally like fundamentals reviews and rationales I believe it was by Maryann Hogan. I heard the success series are good as well. When you get the book list there will be an optional section that the dept reccomends as well.

Make sure to get all your paperwork in on time .. BLS, , health screen, immunizations and drug test! Also if they are still doing it when you go to drop off your letters of acceptance they will give you a medical terminology book with a hw assignment that they post on blackboard.
