those that took the test on the 6th/7th...? took it myself 1st time, had to really rush without much thought just to finish it, overall score it gave me was *121* , I wonder what the process is in KBCC, do they then compare this score with the KB students ? or national? my gpa is 3.94... the english part killed it for me, the last tricky vocal section I guess almost all the way though.

My overall score was an 132 and I'm worried too. The math part killed me :( I heard the nursing department focuses on the "Relative Performance" and your GPA.

Good Luck

For the fall 13 semester the score to get in was 120 and above. Very few people who scored under 120 got in. KBCC really focuses on the English section anything below a 50 in that section might hurt your chances. Good luck to the both of you!

Finger crossing that i can get in with 43% on vocabs....

Hi, I just finished the program at KBCC so I know firsthand the fears and anxiety of the NLN and then the actual clinical component of the nursing program. KBCC picks there students by test scores and the amount of space they have. If students need to repeat the Fundamentals class then there is less room for new students. After they get the best students (both NLN and gpa- and yes the english portion of the NLN is very IMPORTANT, even more important than math and science) then they move on to the students with a lower gpa and lower NLN scores. But I will say dont worry as much if they haven't gotten back to you in a timely manner they never do and they never will. Check Blackboard or CunyFirst constantly if you need info and lastly RELAX. Enjoy the time you have now. Spend time with the kids or your spouse or even by yourself. Go on a short vacation or if not a vacation take a day or an afternoon off work before the program begins because the nursing program will be your life for the next 2 years. Feel free to ask anymore question if needed and Good luck to all of you.

Thank you all for kindly advice. Really appreciate for sharing :)

Hey guys, I also took the NLN at KBCC on Jan 7th, it has been 2 weeks now, when r we gonna hear if we got in to the program??? I keep obsessively checking my CUNYfirst account... :)

call the office, see if you can get info and let us know, I called last week but I guess it too early..

called 3 times nobody is picking up....

I got a 127 on the nln. The English was my worst section. I only got 55% correct. I called the department 2 days ago. They said that the letters of acceptance would go out this week.

I've been doing the same thing... The wait is driving me insane!:woot:

Does anyone know if they look at the percent you got correct or relative performance? I'm confused about that.
