January 2018 Nclex

Published

Hi everyone! Any January 2018 test takers? I took mine yesterday from 2pm-7pm. I'm pretty sure I bombed. I did not feel confident, had a headache halfway through, and walked out of there feeling defeated. It was the longest 5 hours of my life and I didn't mentally prepare for it enough. I got home, did the PVT 2 hours afer, got the good pop-up. Tried again this morning, still the good pop-up. But i fear that I wouldn't pass the BON's quality check. The waiting game is making me anxious, so I'm hoping to just let it all out and keep myself distracted.

Cheers to everyone who passed! And for test takers, I couldn't emphasize it enough: go in there for a 260-item exam (I took this little tidbit for granted and ended up with a headache). Good luck!

I didn't feel good either but I passed. Did you try the trick yet? I know you've got this!!

Yeah I did. Right away. It says I cannot schedule at this time.

Congratulations RN! Just took my exam. I don't feel good about it. :(

I think I only felt good because of the number of SATA I had. Then I started looking up what I chose as my answers and was like "wrong. Wrong. Wrong again." And I felt so bad. Don't stress about it. I know that seems hard, but you did your part so let the graders/board people and God (if you believe in Him) do their job now.

I got like 20-30 SATA. I've been doing the PVT but I am from state of SD. Put the wrong and tight card info keeps getting the good popup. I hope PVT is accurate.

Congratulations to everyone who passed!!! Time to celebrate! í ½í¸

To those who are uncertain/didn't pass, never give up you guys. There may be a little delay but YOU WILL GET THERE!

Unfortunately, I'm still a newbie on this forum so I am not able to reply to private messages. Apologies for not hearing back from me.

Hi! Is this applicable to all states? Even for foreign nurses? Thanks

I sat for NCLEX on Jan. 8, scheduled at 2pm but was able to start around 1:30. Closed off at 75 and had the research questions. I finished within an hour or so. I had probably 15-20 SATA. I didn't feel too good about the exam. I thought for sure I failed it. I didn't do the PVT because I wanted a definite pass/fail answer. I stumbled across continental testing after 24 hours and I found I passed. Still had to pay the quick result though to really confirm and I really did pass!

Used Uworld exclusively to study.

PVT works! I passed too! Took the exam yesterday and my Board of Nursing has my license number today. Congratulations everyone that passed. And for those who failed, don't give up!

I am in California. Took my test on 1/9 morning...feeling bad but still did the PVT afterward. It showed a good pop up sign. It's been the fourth day after my test but still not knowing my result. Which website did you check your result? I tried https://www.breeze.ca.gov/ but it showed "Internal Sever Error" for 2 days already....I am just freaking out about that....Are you guys able to go into that website?

Hi all.

I just took my test on Jan 10th. The test shut off at 76 questions. Did the PVT and got the "good pop up". However, I wasn't convinced and my state (Texas) is super slow about updating the board. So I paid for the unofficial results and I passed!

I did Uworld questions (about 75 per day) for about 2 months. I got a "very high" chance of passing on all my assessment quizzes. I averaged 65% on all my quizzes.

I took my NCLEX exam on January 9th, and I found out yesterday I passed! It was my second time to take the NCLEX, first time I failed at 81 questions last July 2017. But this time around I passed it at 265 questions in 5.5hrs. I also did the PVT 12 hours post my exam, I received the "good pop up", but wasn't really convinced that I really pass. So I had to wait for 48hrs in order for me to do the quick results to find out if I truly did pass or not. And thank God, I passed!

I used UWorld, Lacharity, and the Kaplan book that had like 265 questions in it. I focused on the rationales (especially the ones in UWorld). When i took my exam there were questions that were so similar to the ones that were in Uworld.

To those who has taken it and passed, congrats to all of you! To those who are about to take it pretty soon, just stay focus and understand those rationales really well!

taking mine JAN 27, SO nervous!!!! I've been studying since JAN 5

Taking mine on Jan 24th and freaking out a ton. Anyone taken it in VA that has gotten results within 24hrs through the BON website?
