  1. Following up - I passed! I found out the next day (I live in VA). I used Hurst and Uworld and would definitely recommend doing as many questions as you can on Uworld and reading the rationales!
  2. I just finished my NCLEX! My test cut off at 75 questions and I got 24 SATA... Don't know if that is a good sign or not. Nervously waiting for results.
  3. Taking mine on Jan 24th and freaking out a ton. Anyone taken it in VA that has gotten results within 24hrs through the BON website?
  4. vcu17, you get about 3 weeks to a month off between summer and fall semesters! Summer semester is usually finished around late July and fall semester begins in late August.
  5. vcu17, Yeah a lot of people do end up working as care partners or doulas! As for summer being the hardest semester, I can't say that it turned out that way for me. The summer semester is busy, but the classes are very manageable. It just depends on who you ask!
  6. Marie1995, I do like the program a lot. It has it's ups and downs, just like any other program. I've liked almost all of my professors & clinical instructors and it is very manageable! You just have to be able to budget your time and be prepared to put in a lot of work outside of classes. However, I am not working yet so I do have the time to get my work done easily! vcu17, I'm not exactly sure how the waitlist works since I was not wait listed when I applied. I think (I'm not sure though) that after the tuition deposit deadline they'll send out another email pulling people off of the wait list and they may update the number you're at then. I doubt that they'll keep updating after that since it's a lot to keep up with.
  7. Hi guys! I'm currently in my second semester in the accelerated program. I don't know how many people were pulled off of the wait list for my cohort, but I do know one person who wasn't pulled off until less than a week until classes began! Hopefully you all will know sooner than we did since we didn't receive our decisions until January 15th. Feel free to ask if you have any questions!
  8. Hi! I actually did not. I ended up getting into a different program that was a much better fit for me. I have a friend that's in the program at Sentara and it sounds like they have a lot of issues to work out. I hope you get in! If you don't get off the waitlist, it'll all work out (as cliché as that sounds).
  9. Hi everyone! I was accepted to VCU's ABSN program starting this summer and I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for apartments in the area. I've heard that Shockoe Bottom and The Fan are areas close to campus but I was wondering if anyone had any specific apartment complexes they would recommend. Thank you!
  10. So excited to have 2 other dukes in this cohort!
  11. Good luck @selbyjess! I hope you get good news soon! Does anyone know where to find tuition information??
  12. I will be accepting my offer! Let me know if you end up making a Facebook group!
  13. Everyone check your email! I was accepted!!
  14. Hey Val I just graduated from JMU in December! I did receive an email saying that all of my application materials were received but it was located in my junk folder so I would double check that! If it's not there I would just email them to double check.
  15. That's a far move! Best of luck! Hoping we all get good news from VCU soon :)
