Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

To NCLEX takers both PN and RN who are taking exam in January, this is a support thread for you all to post and keep each other company through rough and smooth times.

Good luck in your study and taking the exam

Well, I finally got my ATT and scheduled to take the NCLEX-PN on Jan. 3rd. I was so nervous making the appointment. I don't know what is wrong with me. I'll continue to keep GOD by my side and ask him for continued strength, knowledge and confidence. Good Luck again to all January test takers!!!!! It's already written that we've all passed!

AMEN....I WILL CONTINUE PRAYING FOR EACH OF YOU IN THE DAYS TO COME. ;)JUST REMEMBER GOD IS THE AUTHOR AND THE FINISHER OF OUR FAITH. HE HAS BROUGHT THIS FAR AND HE WILL NOT LEAVE US OR FORSAKE US. KEEP YOUR HEARTS IN THE RIGHT PLACE. NO DEVIL IN HELL WILL KEEP US FROM BEING CAREGIVERS. SO MANY PEOPLE NEED HEALING. JUST STAY CALM FOR ME.....ASPIRINGONE

I just took the NCLEX-RN today for the 3rd time...it went up to 265 questions. Now I am left with nervousness for the next 48hrs and tears rolling down my face. I took the NCLEX-PN exam and passed the first time. This exam is just a hurdle I cannot seem to get over AND taking all 265 questions doesnt make me feel confident at all. They say you can pass with 265, but who knows. I pray for all of you who are preparing. Its not an easy exam and the hours afterward is very stressful.:scrying:

Dont feel bad. I passed my LPN exam the first time with no problem. Figured I would have no issue at all. I am studying Kaplan because I feel that all the qiestions I got are all the kind they have in their 2007-2008 edition and how to work through them, even if you dont know all the answers. Fingers crossed!!

We can do it!!

looks like i will be taking test in january instead of december. i unscheduled my test date of dec 28th because i feel so unprepared...don know what to do??? by the way, i took first time in septemeber and failed.

Sam7779 - Try not to worry yourself too much. I know it's better said than done, but try to keep the faith and keep positive that you did it this time. 3rd times a charm, right?! (even though I know you would've rather passed it the very 1st time)

Born - Do you really ever feel truly prepared for these kinds of test? I guess we do have a sense of knowing we studied and did the best we can, but try not to keep putting it off because you'll find yourself in Feb still not have taken the test. Good Luck to you and walk by faith. I go to the December board often and you do a very good job with keeping up with everyones dates and uplifting those that didn't pass.

It's funny how I can say these things to others, but I sometimes feel a little nervous myself. I'm actually not as nervous as I was when I got my ATT. I'm surrounded by positive people and I know I will go in there with the knowledge and strength that God has given me and ask him to bless me with a passing score.

Happy Holidays and many blessings to everyone!!!

Hi

I was just browsing around allnurses and I happened on the speciality area, I checked out the ICU sticky's and It gives amazing and extremely interesting information on everything from labs , to treatments, I think its a must read..It has a LOT of practical info and I certainly enjoyed reading ...I know one thing I will certainly know my lab values and how to fix Na/K problems...etc.. I have just started reading and for once enjoyed "studying"....check it out..;)

So I failed... AGAIN. I actually didnt take it as bad as I thought. Just prior to me getting my results, a pts wife came over to me with a 'thank u' card and gift to show her appreciation for me taking care of her husband (i work as an lpn in a local hospital). I figured, no one can stop me, us, from doing what we love...providing professional and excellent care to our pts. I know that in due time, when the time is right and meant to be, it'll happen for me and for all of us. No one will stop us from being nurses....excellent nurses. As for me, being a registered nurse will not happen in 2007...but watch out 2008! There WILL be many state boards issuing licenses cause we ALL will pass. Thank you all for your replies and encouraging words. Happy Holidays to all of you...

PS: keep this thread going, its wonderful therapy and with a force like ours, we must stick together.

Sam, you are so encouraging even in the face of your own disappointment. Thank you for your kind words. I have a feeling 2008 is going to be YOUR year. :)

Hey guys-I am new to the thread. Don't have my ATT but my school says I will have it mid Jan and I plan to take the NCLEX at the end of Jan.

Anyway, just wanted to say hi! I am using Saunders, ATI and some other NCLEX books to study. Gonna hit it hard after Christmas and study 3 hrs a day (start my job on the 21st).

Good luck to all! :)
