That is very helpful! How long does it usually take to be completely accepted into the actual nursing program then? It sounds like a lot you have to do before you can even begin the program. Kind of discouraging.

It depends how many classes you need to knock out and the number of people applying. No can really give you a time frame. It took me two semesters because I had a lot of my classes transfer. But I know people that took longer.

How many classes do you have left?

All of them..lol. I haven't started anything yet. I guess the reason I worry is because she made it out that it was extremely hard to get a spot because they have an overload of apps and limited spots. I don't want to get into a situation where I've spent the time and money on a bunch of classes and still not have an idea if I'm even going to be accepted or not. I know it would be that way anywhere but the way she made it sound was that it was a miracle that anyone got in.

LOL no everyone gets in eventually. You have to remember some that apply don't just apply to the CC they may take a spot somewhere else so there is that and some people get a spot but have to turn it down for personal reasons.

It's do able and you will make it. Good Luck!

Thank you so much! You have been tremendously helpful!!

If you apply for CEP January 2017, would you start your University courses in Summer or Fall of 2017? I am applying for the CEP but it probably won't be until the next cut-off period on May 31, 2017.

If you apply in January 2017, you would start the university courses Summer 2017 and Block 1 Fall 2017. If you applied May 2017, you would start the university courses Fall 2017 and Block 1 Spring 2018. :)

Ok thank you so much! :)

Hi AZMama86,

Hoping you can answer my question. I submitted my application yesterday @ GWCC but the advisor told me that I could apply for CEP in November when I go to the information meeting. Does that mean that I would start in the Summer 2017 also?

Thank you!

Hello!

Thank you for making this thread. I was hoping to 'meet' others in the NAU CEP on here for the same semester as myself.

I can't wait to apply - January is just a few months away now! My first choices are GCC and NAU.

That is exactly what I understanding.

If you are in the Maricopa pool and apply to CEP when the CEP program accepts you you can do the first semester online with them and Maricopa works hard to get you started the next semester. I actually haven't heard of the timing being any other way.
