Welcome.... This is a thread created for January 2014 Broward College students and others who are interested in there ADN program. We all have so many questions and concerns about the program.
We are 7-8 months away from sitting in the first class of the January 2014 nursing program. What have you been doing to prepare for this? What pre-req's do you have left to take? What inspired you to become a nurse? Is BC your first school of chose? Are there any other programs your interested in?
That's really good! I don't have any yet? I don't understand what is taking so long. It's starting to worry me. My transcript is still not evaluated and they received it on 9/9. And it's not like that transcript really matters because I took all my classes at BC and received my AA from BC.
I have 16 points..I didn't have to submit my transcripts because I've taken all my classes at BC..why would they ask yours? I would go there if I was you.

Really? I'm so confused now. When I called about my transcripts before I got nothing but attitude. All I have is a check mark by the HESI exam.
Go there and ask them..did you apply at Central or North? The people at central campus messed up my application when I first applied they gave me 4 points and I thought that was strange, so I went back there and asked the lady if they still were using the points system or if it was by GPA now(I thought the 4 points was by GPA) and she told me no we do by points, so I asked her why I only had got 4 points and she answered with some attitude saying because you have a 2.7 GPA. I said no I don't, she checked my info on the computer and said oh someone might have typed wrong..so if I was you I would totally go there and ask what's going on with your application.

From 4 points to 16 points?! thats a huge mistake. I dropped it off at central. I will definitely go there tomorrow even though I'm probably just going to get attitude and told that ill know soon -_-
Just spoke to a nursing adviser at central campus and she said they will be sending out emails the first week of October!! That's only a few days away :)
What?! My trip to central this morning was a waste -_- I had no idea that the health science admissions office was closed on Fridays and then I went over to the nursing department and the nursing advisor wasn't there. I guess I'll be making another trip on Monday.
why don't you try emailing them. I have the email of one of the health science advisers its cmilli1 at broward dot edu that's who told me will be hearing something the first week of October.
