Jan 07, Charity School of Nursing, hopefully!

Published

Well, after speaking with **** on the phone today, I am cautiously optimistic--ok, just hopeful--that I will be admitted to the Spring '07 class. Anyone else?

Does anyone know when the admissions committee meets to go over applicants? All I was told was "sometime this Fall." I wish there was an interview!

nothing here...i am trying to be p-a-t-i-e-n-t but dang if it aint hard!

Anytime now, Everyone do not get discouraged if someone else got there's and not u, they send them in groups. It does not mean the person who got there's first is better or anything. Good luck to us all!

Specializes in ICU.

I withdrew from Charity in Spring of 05, and I just reapplied. She told me that I can expect to hear from her by the end of October. I'll let you all know if I hear anything.

When I called Charity on Thurs, they told me that we should all hear something by the end of Sept. They already went to committee so we should hear something soon. Thats just what they told me, so we will see.

I got in!!!!! I will be starting in January. :roll

Anyone else? Good luck to you all!!!

Congratulations LarryRachel,

I am currently taking my pre-reqs at delgado, I am in A & P II Lect and Lab and Math 096- all I have left is Micro, 2 more maths, fine arts and humanities, I thinking that I may be able to finish everything by the end of summer 07. When is the best time to take the Pax exam and apply, I am a little afraid of the Pax, and not exactly certain what I need to do first and when to do it. I want to be finished with all my pre-reqs before nursing school but at the same time don't want to be just sitting around waiting to start. From what I understand it takes about a year from the time you apply. Also, what exactly are the dates to apply? Isn't it like twice a year?

And how often do they offer PAX testing and where??

I know a lot of questions, but any input would be greatly appreciated!!!!

HOPE--

you should apply to charity NOW and take the PAX-RN test NOW. I think it's offered every 3 months (could be totally wrong on that, though). Call Delgado -- City Park's campus was my testing center.

I say that because it takes about a year from when you apply to actually start classes. So, if you're like a lot of us, you will be finished your prerequisites and will be essentially just waiting for admission.
