Psych nurse action figure ?
The other Nurse offered the Psychotic Patient some Comfort Foods and I was able to get the Previously Non-Med Compliant Patient to take some Zyprexa and Vistaril. The Patient thereafter returned to bed and to Sleep.
One way I often connect and Deal With Patients' Behaviors is often through Humor.
The Verbatim Interaction of my Actual Meeting with this Patient would run the Risk of a HIPAA Violation, so I came up with a Parallel:
Far'wyn,The way you reeled off that "JRRNPNAF" reminded me: I used to be the Vice President of the "NSPBNGLF" when I was 16 and 17 years old.
Oh yea, NSPBNGLF was a hottie back in the day. Or so I've heard.
My spellcheck on my phone will correct to JRRNPNAF if I start to text it while using the app.

Knowledge is Power. A Feeling of Power helps to curtail Anxiety, Cognitive Dissonance, Abandonment, or maybe even Ostracism because No Stars and Farawyn know Something that I don't and I am Afraid of appearing Ignorant or Uninformed or Stupid or Something.I used to be the Vice President of the "NSPBNGLF" when I was 16 and 17 years old.
Family Dynamics plays a Big Roll in an Individual's Mental Health Development. We were initially Psychologically Influenced by the First Person we loved outside of ourselves: our Primary Caregiver. And for most of us that Primary Caregiver was our Mother.
Many Songs have been written about our Primary Caregivers, our Mothers. One such Song is a Weepy Mama's Gone Ballad titled "Mama Liked the Roses".
"Oooh Mama liked the roses
She'd grow them in the yard.
But winter always came around
And made the growin' way too hard."
It goes on to say "I remember crying when she use to sing".
Now, my Mama didn't Garden and didn't have much of a Talent for Singing. But Mama was Fun-Loving and Mischievous, so my Mama Song might go this way:
Knowledge is Power. A Feeling of Power helps to curtail Anxiety, Cognitive Dissonance, Abandonment, or maybe even Ostracism because No Stars and Farawyn know Something that I don't and I am Afraid of appearing Ignorant or Uninformed or Stupid or Something.
Or something.....
Pitiful, pitiful.
It Stands for The National Society for the Preservation and Betterment of the Name of Gary LaPierre Fans. He was a radio and then a TV newsman in Boston. I knew him personally, but not Biblically, although 5 or 6 years later I probably COULD have known him Biblically, but I chickened out.
And now you know SOME of the rest of the story.
And I gotta ask you, punk, do you feel any more powerful? Well, do ya?

At One Time, a Psychotic Patient was Loud. The BYT told the Patient to "Quiet down!" When the Patient went on their Psychotic Way, the BYT threw their hands into the air and Proclaimed, "I've had it with these patients!"
