Any one else here applying for fall? If so, I'd like to see how we stack up. Two months of waiting is going to drive me crazy!
My overall GPA is 3.5, the GPA of my pre-nursing requisites is 3.8, and my kaplans are:
95 reading
96 math
81 writing
55 science
admission score 81.9 points
Just like Zack, I have both as well. I guess it just means we're destined to get into the program... Haha
I'm going to call for an update on my lunch break. We're in the 5th week right now, so I'm sure they'll have somnething soon! I'll post back with results of the call (Check back in 6 weeks per the information provided blah blah)
I had some random thoughts today... Registration starts 07/14/2014, and the first day of classes this fall will be 08/25/2014. Does anyone else remember hearing something about orientation? Do you know if this is required or just recommended, and what time of day it might be? I'd rather not blindside my boss with a last-minute request to change shifts or for a day off.
And I know we'll need (if accepted) a physical, tiders drawn, and possible shots... I haven't seen a regular doctor in ages. Luckily, I have insurance through work, but what if I can't get an appointment within the next two months?
I suppose it would be best for me to call and try to reach Ms. Edwards for these questions. Just throwing them out there in case anyone knows already.
Orientation is definitely required, as well as a slew of other things, which is why they really can't delay with this. I would'nt be surprised if we all know if we're in by this time next week. However, I'm sure the list of requirements is flexible as long as everything is submitted by a deadline.
Is anyone else here considering a BSN? I'm looking at VCU and ODU
I'll definitely pursue a BSN after my RN licensure, but I'm not sure where I'll go for it. I want something that has online courses for flexibility, but I'm also worried about the cost of four-year tuition. Right now, the loans cover all my tuition for 15 credits per fall and spring semester, then I lucked out with a grant for summer.
