If this has already been posted somewhere, please direct me (I couldn't find anything)

Any one else here applying for fall? If so, I'd like to see how we stack up. Two months of waiting is going to drive me crazy!

My overall GPA is 3.5, the GPA of my pre-nursing requisites is 3.8, and my kaplans are:

95 reading

96 math

81 writing

55 science

admission score 81.9 points

Thanks for trying. I wonder if there's any other indicator that will pop up on the student

information system. what if letters come out right at six weeks, but don't arrive until after the earlier registration folks can sign up?

For example, if they start registration 07/07/2014, and they mail the letters 07/07/2014, but they don't arrive until 07/09/2014... Would the system let me sign up for NUR 111 on

07/07/2014, thus giving me the answer?

Registration will probably begin afterward, I'm just trying to think of ways to figure it out before the letter gets here - I'm sick of obsessively checking my mail!

And Zackaroni I was actually wondering the same thing......if there would be any hints on SIS that we were accepted.

I'm sure there will be an update in SIS, such as it allowing us to enroll, when now it states we need the departments consent. Great question!

Out of curiousity, will you guys be working throughout nursing school? How do you foresee your schedules being once you're in the program?

Personally, my schedule is going to be crazy. If I get in, I'm going to try for something that has mornings during the week and a weekend clinical. I have a family to support, so I don't have a choice in working full time. I know they frown upon it and advise against it, but I'll do fine.

My job has two shifts - 8a-4p and 12n-8p. Currently, I work the earlier shift, but they're flexible in letting me work the later shift to accommodate school. Luckily for me, weekends are optional for overtime. It'll be a busy few months, but I'll make it work because it's worth it.

You mean a busy few years, haha. I have the choice to continue working full time at my corporate job and save the money, or just focus on school without the additional income. I'm not sure what to do yet, but I went over a schedule of classes and I'll be very busy. However I don't think it'll be as bad as people make it out to be. It's interesting to see how others plan to go about this.

I wont have a choice. My departments schedule at work is a strict 8am-6pm Monday-Friday, so I will have to quit my full time job if I am accepted. It is a sacrifice I am willing to make to accomplish my dream.

The diversity in the program will be interesting. Just between us three, one has to work, the other has to quit, and I'm not sure which route to take.

Definitely an interesting mix here. Have either of you been taking full time semesters already? I feel like that's prepared me for this gigantic 8-credit first course. For the past two years, I've been pulling 40-45 hours a week at work and 12-15 credit hours a semester (summers included). I'm no straight A student, but I feel I'm doing pretty well, considering.

Hey everyone. I'm waiting to hear back as well. Just moved here from Hawaii. I'm 28 and have my BS and MS in Family Studies. I have an offer at George Washington for their ABSN prpgram, but the $55,000 tuition and having to find a place up there during the wk (husband is stationed at Fort Lee)... looking at other options. I'm super nervous- hope we find out something soon!

The most I have taken is 10 credits in one semester while working 40 hrs a week. I got all A's but I was EXHAUSTED all of the time. The next semester after that I refused to do that again lol Welcome mayss! Yes, I hope we hear something really soon. A couple of my close friends have asked me have I heard anything yet and its making me even more anxious because I have been trying not to think about it so much! lol

I just took 13 credit hours in 4 classes while working full time in corporate America. Between commuting and working, I spend at least 50 hours a week on work. I managed to get all A's but I was dedicated. Definitely feel like it helped, but I keep hearing nursing school is intense, so we'll see!

Mayss - what was your Kaplan score??
