Any one else here applying for fall? If so, I'd like to see how we stack up. Two months of waiting is going to drive me crazy!
My overall GPA is 3.5, the GPA of my pre-nursing requisites is 3.8, and my kaplans are:
95 reading
96 math
81 writing
55 science
admission score 81.9 points

OUCH!!! Those scores are killing me. Congrats!!! You should have no problem getting accepted. I'm also at Reynolds, I am applying for the Spring acceptance, this upcoming Fall will be my last semester of Pre-reqs. I have 3 more classes to go (MTH 126 and BIO 142) I'm taking BIO 141 this summer. I wish you all the best, please update whether you've gotten accepted ( as I know u will).
Work hard on those pre-reqs - BIO 141 and 142 were packed full of information! Who are you taking? I took Dr. Cannon (he was really good).
Thanks for the good luck wishes. I'll definitely post back here once I hear from admissions (should be late June or early July). I'm really worried about that science score, since it's just barely above their required 50%. I hear that it's ridiculously competetive, and the nursing info session I went to had at least 100 people.

I am applying for Fall 2014 as well! I am so anxious/nervous that I don't know how I will be able to wait until the end of June to find out if I got in or not.
My info is as follows: Cum GPA 3.77 Pre-req GPA 3.8
Kaplan Scores:
Math 93%
Reading 86%
Science 70%
Writing 76%
Overall Correct: 82%
I want this sooo bad! I have wanted to be a nurse since I was a little girl. Good luck everyone! I hope we make it!
Toya2xcel - hopefully, we'll all make it. With your scores, you have a bit of an edge over me. That makes me wonder who else is applying with better scores :-/ I'm so nervous!!!
Really?? I think your scores are better than mine! I was actually nervous about even posting mine on here once I saw yours. lol Do you happen to know how they are ranking the applicants? Like is it Kaplan scores only? I know its Math 30%, Science 30%, Reading 30% and Writing 10% but also I read somewhere in the past that they used a points system. Like you get a certain amount of points for having a certain GPA etc....I wish we knew more information about the consideration process. *sigh*
I submitted my application in person, so she went over everything with me. The only thing they look at is the Kaplan. As long as you meet the minimum GPA, took bio and chemistry in high school, yadda yadda, those aren't factored in.
With the weighting system and your scores, that gives you 82.3 points (versus my 81.9)
Ohhh ok.....I'm nervous about the Kaplan scores of the other applicants as well. I was going to try to retake it but I dont think my scores would have improved that much within such a short period of time and for some reason the proctor at the testing center told me that they changed the rules and now you are only allowed to take the Kaplan twice in a lifetime and not twice in two years like I was told at the information session. Have you heard anything about that?
That confuses me, too - online and at the testing center, it seems to be twice in a lifetime (which doesn't make sense... what if you apply to another school that also uses Kaplan?), but at the info session, I heard twice every two years.
You can definitely re-take it again. I wish I'd remembered the questions better - they're exactly the same both times.
Well hopefully we will both get in and we wont have to worry about retaking it!

Everyones scores look pretty solid. I submitted my app with an 80 on the Kaplan. Keep in mind they rank the Kaplan based off a point system where each test result is worth 30% except for writing which is 10%. I can tell this is going to be a competitive pool based off the results I've seen from other students! Last semester's cutoff for accepted applicants was 69 points, so I'm confident we're in.
