Has anyone from terre haute got financial aid yet? I NEED MONEY !!! lol I got CPR cert. today. Yesterday got TB test and first Hep B shot... more to come. Really getting nervous. We are trying to get moved into our new home... transfer kids to new school ... no money for all this ... and getting really stressed. AARRRGGHHH !!! When I was at IUPUI... we had our FA sent out to us before school even started. Don't know why Ivytech can't do it that way?!? Would make a lot easier for everyone!

The financial aid will not be dispersed till sometime in October so I would look for other forms of income because it will be some time before you receive any financial aid reimbursements from Ivy Tech.

Financial aid is applied to your account at the beginning of the semester, before classes start (under normal circumstances). Maybe you are talking about student loans? IN that case the disbursements dates should be in Oct and Sept. Refunds from grants wouldn't be issued until about 6 weeks into the semester.

Six weeks from the start of classes is October. So yes grants will be refunded to the applicant in October.

Still very short of the immediate need of the quoted poster.

Loans will usually be dispersed after the grants by about a week or two, in late October early November.

6 weeks is the very end of September.

The financial aid office has said there is a 30 day waiting period for loans, so they should be disbursed at the end of september and then again in October.

I misread her needs, sorry.

Anyway, is there anyone who STILL has not received their award package yet?? I still haven't got anything at all and I am beginning to get ******. I really want to add another class (Infant/Toddler development) so I can qualify for the state grant I qualified for. My coworker has received hers...AUUGHHH. And I have been on hold with financial aid for about 25 minutes now.

I haven't gotten mine either. There is no hold, but they had to email somebody about something which is new this year and they didn't do until last Friday when I called them. They are waiting to receive an email back. I wish it would post soon, I cannot afford tuition and books without it!

Yes, it is okay they say. This is just a new procedure that was just implemented this semester that they didn't even know about until they researched it when I called. They also said there were a lot of students who haven't posted yet and they are still working on them as fast as they can. I wouldn't worry if I were you. They just can't add to your account at each campus like they have done in the past.

I just got an email today at campus connect saying my financial aid application is incomplete, etc......AFTER I was awarded aid. WTH. Turns out, all I had to do was log in and click I agree to a couple little things and it was done. So make sure you check your student requirements and make sure you do that so it doesn't hold your aid up any longer.

Yeah I have no holds on my registration or anything...I talked to them today and he was supposed to post it today...but so far I haven't seen anything. He said that if I don't see anything about my loans by Monday to call them back. I would love to be able to get my books some day in the near future!
