I beefed up my summer course load and plan to take MAT 118, COM 102, and IVY 104, all online. Anyone else taking these?
Did you have to order your uniforms at your orientation or how does that work? I don't have a clue what size I would even need. We have orientation Friday for Richmond.
I was at Richmond's orientation today too. What sections did you get in to?
I have clinicals at Fayette Memorial Hospital in Connersville. That's gonna be a long drive twice a week from Richmond!
I tried on the uniforms, but didn't buy any today. They seem to run a bit small, I thought.
I don't know what my schedule is going to be yet. We were having computer issues in my group and then when we put in the numbers they told us to put in, some were already full. We ended up filling out paperwork so I will have to wait and see. The clinical they had me sign up for is in Rushville, that is an hour and a half from Winchester. They had about 30 of us sign up for a class that only holds 10 so I am hoping to get a different one when they actually enter classes for me. Where do you try on uniforms at?
Okay, so I have a question now. I'm signed up for the 2nd info session, on the 16th. Should I change it to the 1st session on the 15th? Will I not get my choice of schedule if I go the 2nd day?
Just wanted to know. I changed it to the 16th because my son's birthday is the 15th. I'm hoping that wasn't a mistake.
Thanks,
Kate

We had computer issues too. I tried to register and got a "Major Restriction" or something like that, but no one knew what it was, so I had to do all mine on paper too. Whose group were you in? Wouldn't that be a hoot if we were in the same room today?
I tried on uniforms in the bookstore. They are a horrible color! lol Ah, well, we're not doing this for fashion.
me too! that sux... have you gotten any of your stuff done? I am just STILL waiting on that stimulus check so I can get everything. I finally got the letter saying that it would be here by today, so heres to hopin!
I went today and got immunizations and the drug screen and uniforms. I still have to do the criminal history check. I was downtown today and couldn't figure out where to park. The garage on Senate said state employees only and I didn't have any change for the meters. I'm gonna probably have my fiance drive me down there and just drop me at the door then come back and get me.
All I need to do now is get my stethoscope and penlight and I'm good.
I'm gonna call the school tomorrow and see if they will tell me where my clinical site is. All I know is Thursday from 6:45-3:30. Hopefully it's St. Francis Beech Grove so I don't have to drive all the way to BFE.
Hey everyone! I was pondering something this morning and thought I'd check and see if any of you know a thing or two about it.
I am getting a Pell Grant and Higher Ed. Award for Fall and Spring. If I apply for (and get) the Nursing 2000 scholarship, will the amount of my Pell and state aid be reduced by the financial aid office?
I'm trying to work it out so that I don't have to take out any loans, and get a little bit of a refund back to cover child care and gas costs.
Anyone know?

I think you will still get your full Pell and Higher Ed. Award as long as you don't exceed your cost of attendance minus. This assumes that your estimated family contribution (EFC) is zero. If not, this has to be taken into account as well.
Richmond hasn't sent out award notifications yet. Have the other campuses?
My EFC is zero so hopefully I will get the full amount still. Indy hasn't sent out award notifications, but I checked the estudent website and the amount was listed there under my award history. You might wanna check it out and see if yours is there as well. I don't know what my pell will be, but I have always gotten the max because my EFC is 0.

I found out the same about my life skills class. I took 070 as a freshman and now I have to take something different. I'm thinking of taking the "transfer" class because it will be good information if nothing else.
Coltsgrl.....I'm in the M-R block with R clinical. I was hoping we would have classes together =(
