Ivy Tech Thread

I beefed up my summer course load and plan to take MAT 118, COM 102, and IVY 104, all online. Anyone else taking these?

So there is a hep B waiver..that is great. Where did you get the physical form from?

From my understanding, the 5 panel tests for 5 different types of drugs, usually marijuana, cocaine, opiates, methamphetamine, and amphetamine.

What do they do to you with the test, just draw blood or something?

My 5 panel was a pee test. I think it is basically the same drug test that many employers do.

It tests for amphetamines, cocaine, THC, opiates, and PCP.

Well thats not to bad then if all you got to do is pee in a cup. I can handle that..lol.

Here's my TO DO list

Well, I would like to think I'm resourceful :wink2: but, all of this was included in my big envelope that had my acceptance letter in it. It had a packet stapled together for the bacground checks. Another packet stapled together for the physical/immumizations.

Also the acceptance letter had a list outlining what needed to be done.

I forgot to add CPR cert for health professionals on my list doing that 6/10 for $45.

The only thing I know for sure we will be doing at our orientation is signing up for classes. I can't wait for that so I can organize my life. I hate the feeling of not knowing what I need to have in place.

Did you all not get the same info in your acceptance packet?

Im at Valpo campus and all we got was the letter. We have to wait until orientation for all that other stuff. Ours is June 18th so its not too too far away!!

All Indy sent out was a letter saying we were accepted and the date for orientation. We also had to call a number to either accept or deny the spot.

Geez....I wish we had all that info!! I hate waiting until the last minute to get things in order.

I did not get in. They said that I didn't have a grade for my psychology from another college in the application. I had it, but someone in the office said that my unofficial transcript was to be used. they were wrong, so with straight A's and an 87 on teas, I don't get in.another six months to wait. I'm heartbroken.

Matilda, I'm so sorry....that really stinks.

Matilda,

I'm sorry too. That seems pretty unfair. I know you will get in next time for sure. Hang in there =)
