Ivy Tech Spring 2015 hopefuls!

Hey everyone! So the deadline has officially passed... and now we wait! I haven't seen any dedicated threads for Spring semester yet, so I figured this would be a good way to support each other and provide updates so we can try to get through the month of September together. I hope we can maintain at least a little bit of our sanity until then!

So who else is waiting for the letter(s)?

Does anyone know what the rules are for scrubs at Ivy Tech? When would nursing students need to begin wearing them? Also, what color do we have to wear. I know it's not super important but I'm curious!

As far as I know all the campuses near me wear hunter green scrubs! My friend just started the ASN program at Kokomo this past fall and said they are very specific and require them to get their scrubs from the bookstore with the ivytech logo on it! I know clinicals don't start until 2-3 weeks into the semester which is when you will need the scrubs! I would definitely wait until orientation before investing in scrubs to see what your specific region rerequire!

Hunter green isn't bad I suppose. Lol. I was just praying it wasn't purple or brown or anything like that. I will def wait to buy anything - I am still waiting to be accepted!!

I just applied to the ASN progam in Evansville. I am not sure my score is good enough to get in but I'm hopeful. The wait is TORTURE!!! :) Good Luck to you, and if we both get in, I'm assuming we'll be in the same program.

We have to wear our scrubs for lab - you should always be in uniform during lab, which is what your campus willl tell you when you have orientation. Good luck!

Hi everyone! I'm (not so patiently) waiting on a letter as well! I'm 28, from Terre Haute, and a busy wife and momma to three little ones. My oldest is in kindergarten this year:) I applied to the ASN program here in Terre Haute for spring start. I am praying I get in! I had all A's in my pre-reqs and an 80 on my TEAS. I ended up with 140.5/160 admission points. Just praying that is enough! Good luck to everyone!!

Received letter today for ASN Lawrence!! Orientation is on Halloween. AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Finally!!! I just opened the mailbox to an acceptance letter from the Sellersburg campus for their ASN program. I applied to a couple of others as well, so I'm not positive I will be accepting the Sellersburg offer until I have an answer from the others. Either way...I'm more than excited to know that I'll be starting the ASN program in January!
