Ivy Tech Spring '10 Applicants

Published

This is the "Not In" thread, or for anyone that's planning on applying for Spring Semester by the Sept 1st deadline.

We need love too! :loveya:

My Boring Stats:

A's in prereq's except ANP 2...taking that class now.

Horribly embarrassing TEAS at 76, still have two more tries. (Which is why I'm taking math and phys sci this summer. lol)

Hope to get into the Bloomington or Terre Haute programs. (Yay! Greene county gets region pts at both. lol)

Currently frazzling myself out with 5 online classes

It's nice to meet you....whoever you are....

Carlos, you're on the ball! Where is our health dept. anyway? I'm fairly new to Hancock Cty and I've never been---is it downtown? I have to fax my high school records to my doc to find out which ones I still need and then maybe I'll just get them at the health dept instead of at the doc.

I think I have to get them all based on the limited records I have. I was told the Health Department is in Greenfield near the courthouse on American Legion Plaza.

Love the violin dude!

Nah, it's about my son's music class on Fridays after school.

I went into the bookstore just to look at scrubs today. They don't have an area to try them on. The girl said they accept returns if you take them home and they don't fit. I didn't buy any yet though. I asked about the little clip thingy that they said at the orientation had to be green (for holding the ID card). The bookstore doesn't have any yet (just have plain white ones right now) but they are expecting an order of them to come in before classes start.

I went to look today as well Chris. I had to get my pee test papers and just to look again.

Got first round of Hep B, first round of MMR, and first round of TB test. Ouch. If you cant tell, I have no records of my immunizations as a child. Health Department doesnt want to give me the Chicken Pox shot since I had it as a child, but have no record. They said it was $90 and they dont want to waste the shot. I have to find a way to get the titer.

The Health Dept. is located on the 1st Street to the East of the old courthouse, American Legion Pl. It is in the new courthouse annex in room 150.

Specializes in Neurology.

Carlos, how are you getting the TB test read? Will you go back tomorrow?

I have to be back first thing Monday morning.

Thanks a bunch, I wondered how that worked!

Everything has been free since I am going to nursing school except for the TB test, which is $10. Just tell them you want to use the program from the State of Indiana for the free immunizations. The Hep B is $30 a shot if you don't.

What? There's a program for free shots if you are a nursing student?

When I looked at Hamilton county's health dept. webpage, it said immunizations are for children up to age 18. So I don't even know if I could get them there.

Yep. I got my HepB and MMR today for free and paid $10 for my TB. I will get the rest for free as well. I just told them I heard there was a program to provide nursing students with free immunizations and they said they could hook me up on the shots and I would just pay for the TB.
