This is the "Not In" thread, or for anyone that's planning on applying for Spring Semester by the Sept 1st deadline.

We need love too! :loveya:

My Boring Stats:

A's in prereq's except ANP 2...taking that class now.

Horribly embarrassing TEAS at 76, still have two more tries. (Which is why I'm taking math and phys sci this summer. lol)

Hope to get into the Bloomington or Terre Haute programs. (Yay! Greene county gets region pts at both. lol)

Currently frazzling myself out with 5 online classes

It's nice to meet you....whoever you are....

crap what time is the info session tuesday? I have class from 2pm-3:50pm. I totally forgot about it. At least its at Lawrence!

Nevermind :( Looks like I can't make it, even though it wouldn't matter to miss the first class since I have already taken the class, but I am trying to be responsible! Chris, if there is any new information make sure to let me know!

Don't worry I will keep you updated!

Okay anyone going today at 2pm Lawrence? Misty Miss, Blindmouse?

If not I guess I'll sit all by my little old self

Pick me, I'll sit by you!:yeah:Hubby is going to come home early so I can go. YAY I'll be sending you a PM in a second.

Well that info session was a waste of my time at least. The Admissions rep and Career Services rep spent over an hour talking. . . and dumb people would ask specific questions for their personal situations. . . I had to leave early to get home and the nursing part was only halfway done. I've been to other info sessions where the whole thing only took about an hour! Sheesh.

So Kim/MistyMiss, did she talk any more about mandatory summer classes for those starting in January? That's the whole reason I went, to find out more about their new summer offerings. Grrrrrr. Oh well I was glad to meet you! I hope we both get in for January!!

The only other information about the Summer session that I recall, was that it was half time. I took that to mean 6 or 7 credit hours. She may have defined it more, but my brain was melting down at that point. It is a shame that they took that much time to explain the admissions/career services stuff. I am thinking that they do that to cut down on the Q/A session, unfortunately with today's group, it just added to the time. They spent an hour explaining the basics, just to have to answer basic and/or personal situation questions for another half an hour! Gotta love community college, "Better late than never"!

It was so great and so fun to meet you Chris :) I am very much hoping we both make it in also and are able to share in our journey!

I went to the info session back in July and felt that it was a waste of time due to the large number of people asking questions regarding their personal situations. I did not find any new information that I hadn't already obtained on my own from either this site or by reading the nursing handout/FAQs. I might attend another one later this year just to make sure I didn't miss anything...the people around me kept talking to each other the entire time about the silly questions they were going to ask. I know no question is a silly question, but had they been paying attention or did a little reading prior to raising their hand they would have had their answer:(

Hello all,

I am new to this forum but I do have a question for those of you who have applied at multiple campuses :) I am applying PN only at Fort Wayne, which is currently my home school. I would like to also apply at South Bend just in case. My question is would I have to apply for admissions first at South Bend before they would accept my application. I called and talked to someone in admissions and she seemed to think that if I applied at SB that it would screw up all my classes, financial aid, ect.. at Fort Wayne. I have tried calling other people (Director of Nursing program, Program Assistants, ect..) at SB but all I am getting is voice mail. If someone could shed some light on what I need to do I would greatly appreciate it... SB has an info session tomorrow morning so I need to decide what I am doing. Thanks so much!!

i felt the same way at the info session:banghead: i attended in march. it seems that the program director needs to announce in the beginning that if you have personal situational questions, see them after to talk about your personal situation or set up an apt with an advisor - otherwise it's not general info and it is not benieficial to the group as a whole. such a waste of time! i would also suggest that people read the hand out (readily available at the nursing dpt) beforehand then come with silly questions. yeah and some questions were very silly :clown:

The way they explained it at the Indy meeting was that you did not have to change your home school to apply to multiple nursing programs. If you get accepted at a program other than your home one and choose to go to it, they would change your home location at that time. I hope that makes sense :)

Woooh now I'm confused. Do you have to apply to each and every campus you might want to attend? So say I want to apply to Lawrence, Muncie and Anderson, do I submit an application to all 3 schools?
