HI! I know that I am not the only one out there working on prereqs to get into the nursing program at Ivy Tech. This thread will be for the Fall 2011 applicants *applying next April! We will get there!!!!

I am now working on APY 101 and Psy 101 this summer online. They are tough, but I am holding my own! A few more weeks. Anyone else out there?

I have not taken any of those courses, but I am registered for Biol 211 because I know it is the one that transfers to IUPUI...not sure about ISU. Just wanted to mention that :)

That was the one that I was originally wanting to take as well. For whatever reason, though, the Indy campus doesn't seem to be offering it for the Spring '11 semester. Anytime I've tried to look it up on campusconnect it's not shown up for Indy. I'd honestly really rather take it than the 201, because 1) as you said, it's definitely transferable, AND 2) it's only 3 credit hours as opposed to the 4 that 201 is (read as: it costs 100 dollars less to take it). At which campus are you signed up for the 211?

I am taking it online through Terre Haute. It is the one that says you have to come one Saturday for a lab, but I contacted the prof and he said that the lab is optional, which is good because I am taking APHY 201 in Indy on Saturdays 12-4:50p in the spring.

Anatomy 102 final left...next Wednesday. Almost there!! I registered to take the TEAS on Dec 30th....so I guess I know what I am doing over break!

Very nice. I'll probably be taking mine in January or February. I have one more lab test in aphy 102, and assuming that I get above a 77 on it, I'll have my fourth and final A for my point system prereqs. Besides that test I have two finals--one in Calc and the other in Chem, and both are comprehensive. My Chem one is on Tues., and my Calc on Thurs. I'm super worried about the Chem one. I don't think either of my profs curve, so one would think that I'd be equally concerned about both. But, there just seems to be so much more information that I had to learn and memorize for Chem than I did for Calc. Also, considering the fact that I just took my fourth Chem test today, I won't know what the minimum score I'll need to get on the final will be to get an A out of the class. Heck, I actually didn't even know what score I needed on the fourth test, seeing as how when I asked my professor the other day what my grade was in the class overall he said that he didn't know because all he had was our raw scores (he hasn't weighted the various assignments yet). Never knowing what your actual grade is in a class is exceedingly unnerving to say the least lol. Oh well. I suppose that I'll just have to roll with the punches and do the best I can. /le sigh.

Woot woot! Got my A! Now all I need is the TEAS. If you've taken the old version of the test you should tell us how your scores compare, ace13. I'd be interested in finding out :)

hey im new to this, and i am trying to get into the fall 2011 nursing program. have heard any about or taken the teas yet? im in anp 101 now and i just took my final today for lec, i hope i did good because this is my second time in this class. i am so nervous because i will not know what i got until friday or monday and i still have lab final on thursday:uhoh3:

I have not heard of anyone talking about version v of the teas. I never took the other version, but I am taking version v on Dec. 30th. I am going to study over break for it as much as I can. I think any way that you look at it, it is a hard test to study for! It is like studying for an SAT...not easy to do!

congrats wannabernin!!! I just took my anatomy 102 final and got my A too!!!! HALLELUJAH!!! I had my stomach in knots worrying about it! Now just the TEAS!!! Almost there!

Has anyone taken the Mbio 201 and/or Aphy 201 course at the Indy campus within the past year or so? If so, what were they like, and from whom did you take them?

Well....TEAS V DONE!!! :yeah:

I got a 90.3. I calculated this with the new .25 English, .25 Reading, .30 Science, .20 Math calculations deal. It wasn't much different from the adjusted individual total of 90.0% that was printed on the results page, so I am not sure if the new calculations are going to make that big of a difference.

I am happy :lol2: but still anxious :uhoh3: since the cutoff was 88 last fall for the ASN program in Indy. Hopefully it will be enough. I could still take it one more time if all of you start posting you got a 99!

I studied the ATI book and the McGraw book. Let me know if you have any questions!
