Ivy Tech Fall 2011

Published

HI! I know that I am not the only one out there working on prereqs to get into the nursing program at Ivy Tech. This thread will be for the Fall 2011 applicants *applying next April! We will get there!!!!

I am now working on APY 101 and Psy 101 this summer online. They are tough, but I am holding my own! A few more weeks. Anyone else out there?

Nope your not the only one. I am taking ANP 101 online right now and 102 in the fall. Sucks we have to wait all spring to find out if we get accepted, then all summer to start doesn't it? Good luck, we are so close to the end of the summer session and hopefully a whole bunch of A's! What campuses are you applying to?

Absolutely, the best thing is to get all the pre reqs out of the way.

You will definitely feel the breeze when u start.

I will be applying to Indy/Lawrence. Taking APY 102, Comm 102 and Eng 211 this fall-all online. I have A's right now in my classes after midterms....I pray that I do well on my finals!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am applying at the Indy/Lawrence campus too. I am guessing by your classes that you are applying to the RN program right? Have you been to the info session?

Nope,

You're not alone out there. I'm taking ANP 102 and Math 043 this fall. I already have all the rest of me pre-reqs. done and am also taking co-req's for the RN program. I'm in Micro and Technical Writing online right now. I was one of those who took Math 118 to have it out of the way only to find out that they changed the math requirements. I have alreday taken the TEAS twice now and have another nursing seminar July 20th. Time has been flying since I enrolled and I can't wait to be in the program. I have already noticed that I'm only one of two or three other guys in a lot of my classes and know the further I go, the more that's going to happen. I'm also 41 y/o and am working 40 hrs. / week.

yeah, I went to an info session in March to make sure I was registering for the right classes and to see how long all of this was going to take. I took calculus in 1996 at IU and they accepted it, so I don't have to take math. Other than that, I have Eng 101 done and Soc 101 and the 1 cr hour Ivy class. That is all that transferred from my other degree. I just can't wait until these stressful prereqs are done. I need to go study APY so I can get an A. I can miss 100 total points for the session and I have missed 29 through the midterm. I WANT AN A!!!!

How is everyone doing on studying for finals? I am going to be cramming like mad starting tonight.

I have so much studying to do for anatomy! There is so much!!!!!!!!!!!!! If I can get a high C or higher, I will get an A in the class. study study study study!! I have never had so much riding on an exam!!!! My psych is easier. I just need to pass that final. Happy studying!!:yeah: I want to be a :nurse:

I sure am happy finals are over. Three classes down, APY 102 to go and the TEAS. I think I am going to take the TEAS in early September...we have to take the version V, right?

Hi there, I just am reading. I'm in the ASN program at Lawrence right now. I just was reading all the new requirements for you guys, math, new TEAS, and a different way of doing the points for admission. They are going to weight the APHYs heavier than the Psych and English, no region pts anymore, and are using the individual pts for the different TEAS sections rather that the total individual adjusted score. Oh and you have to get a level of proficient, advanced, or exemplary on the new TEAS to even be able to apply.

Good luck to all of you as you complete pre-reqs and work your way thru all the changes!!

Where did you read all of that? I haven't seen anything on the website. I had registered to take the TEAS Aug 20th, but canceled it because I heard I needed to take a new version from the Ivy Tech message boards. I can't wait to read official changes! Do you have a link or did you just hear about it?
