Is there anyone else out there, or is it just me? :)
I'd love to connect with others who are applying for the Fall 2017 nursing program.
I am signed up to complete my prerequisites in the spring. English and Public Speaking are already done with an A, from a prior degree with Ivy Tech. They are also going to waive the IVY112 class because I am an Ivy Tech grad.
So I am signed up for APHY101, MATH123, PSYC101, and SOC111.
On one hand, I can't wait for classes to start! On the other hand, with the Holidays, I know the time is going to fly by.
I have the TEAS study guide from Amazon (ATI TEAS Secrets Study Guide: TEAS 6 Complete Study Manual, Full-Length Practice Tests, Review Video Tutorials for the Test of Essential Academic Skills, Sixth Edition: 9781516703838: Medicine & Health Science Books @ Amazon.com) and I am studying it and looking through the first practice test. So far, so good! Lots of info there to cover. Will keep me busy, for sure.
About me: My degree is in Business Administration and my work history is mostly in accounting, but I've been home with our 3 boys for the past 16 years. We have homeschooled for the past seven years. They all went to public school this year, and they are doing GREAT! Now I need a new direction, as well... I've got maybe 30 years of working ahead of me, and I want to have a solid career. I hated being stuck at a desk. Nursing ~ here we go!

Omg seriously, again thank you! I hope you are right and that I can make a difference. It has definitely always felt like the thing I was meant to do. So as long as I can make it through the insanity that will be my life while in the program everything will be alright! And if I can find nurses like you to lean on for guidance one I get there ?Thank you for your positivity and encouragement, those that work with you are SO lucky !!!

Do you know what?! I actually really wanted to do that, a year or two ago they talked about building a Riley here in Fort Wayne and I was super excited, but then I never heard a thing about it again!! I feel like I need to look into that again now lol
**well I did and I feel dumb Haha they did build some offices here for Riley but they are for follow ups and stuff. Either way that's still pretty awesome and if we ever went back to indy I'll know where to go ?
@Kotylynne just now seeing these posts. I know you'll come back and let us know how it's going. ? Best wishes!

My advisor didnt have much to say either way on my overall score would hold but I have a plan B if I dont make it. I'll be back to let you guys know how it goes but wanted to say a huge thanks for everything on getting to this point (a point that ALWAYS seemed soooo beyond my reach) ❤❤?
@Kotylynne where are you at in this process? When is everybody supposed to know by?

I think they find out in September.
Hope everyone is doing well.
I am just working the one PRN job now, driving to Indy. The work environment is much better & shorter hours also. It's worth the drive.
I'm about 1/2 finished with my BSN in just 3 months' time. Love this WGU program. I see how people can get it done in under 6 months -- I'm planning on taking 2 terms to complete it, though. I decided to take a short break for now & enjoy these last few days with my kids before their school starts up again. My house is also badly in need of cleaning & organization. I mean, badly. Lol.

Yes! Supposed to be September 8th although I'm not sure what to think of that since it is on a Sunday and I thought letters go out on saturday?? My application and transcripts have cleared at least, so that's something right ??♀️ just trying to keep myself busy, and not freak out about this fall (advanced physiology) ?? also first child to pre-school ??
