Ivy Tech 'Fall 2010' Applicants

Published

Hi everyone! I wanted to start a thread for those of us planning on applying by April 1st....

Has anyone taken the TEAS yet? Where are you with your pre-reqs? What campus are you applying to?

I am planning on taking the TEAS in December, so I have enough time to retake it :) and this is my first semester at Ivy Tech. I'm taking APHY 101, ENGL 111, and PSYC 101 all this semester and I will complete APHY 102 next semester. I am planning on applying to Indy.

And good luck to all the Spring 2010 applicants! :yeah:Hope everyone gets in!!!

Oh and apparently the cut off for ASN for Evansville was 204. Just a FYI. ;-)

nothin from valpo

Nothing from columbus, bloomington or terre haute. What was the cut off for Evansville LPN? Anyone know?

I know that someone with a 195 was accepted into the LPN program at Evansville. Other than that, I have no idea.

i sent you a message back i guess i did it correctly? did you get it? i didn't get the 1st message you said you sent a couple of weeks ago.

nothin from valpo

hate to say i am relieved that you did not get anything from valpo....but i am as i have begun to wonder if they've lost my application.....keeping my fingers crossed for you and me both that those letters will be in our mailboxes come tuesday.

Mail runs on Tuesday, right? I can't imagine the rest of the letters will be any more delayed!

It runs on Tuesday, but if they weren't mailed on Friday that means they are going to be mailed Tuesday at the earliest which means we won't get them until Wednesday at the earliest. This just sucks.:crying2:

i emailed someone last week about our letters from kokomo and got a responst last night. she said letters will go out this week. nothing like waiting till after the deadline :crying2:

friendly terms of service reminder

a few posts have been edited to comply with the terms of service. per the terms of service of this site, please do not post names, initials, or contact information of professors or other school officials on the public board. it is better to communicate this type of information via the private message system.

as stated in the terms of service:

while it is important to be able to network, everyone should be mindful of the following:

  1. it is a small world - when we narrow it down to a state and throw in some personal info, there is actually a pretty good chance someone may recognize you if you are not careful. your privacy is paramount to us.
  2. while allnurses.com is a wonderful place to vent (without excess personally identifiable details) it is not the place to express why ("x" specific person, place or program) is terrible. gripe away, but since we cannot permit allegations to be made about named entities, your care in not naming them is very much appreciated.
  3. please do not give out personal information about others. do not name names where anyone could identify the person in any facility including your nursing programs.

the best to all of you! thank you for your cooperation.

na they didnt lose your application, theyre just slow. plus anything sent from valpo might go through the gary post office which is a black hole for mail....ive seen letters take up to 5 days to go through that post office. im not expecting mine until thursday or friday if it goes through the gary post. if you have anything over 200 i would think your golden at valpo as its not as competitive...so im not too worried with my 211. the nursing chair there told me they accepted someone with a 180 last fall. i would be willing to bet the range for the asn is probly about 198-213ish this semester. barring some sort of stupid clerical error, im pretty much certain i will be getting an acceptance letter this week. i aint worried. and if i dont get in, then screw it, ill just re-apply and get in next time.
