Just catching up on some of the threads cause I have been away for a week. I have spent from the 1st to the 7th of July riding my motorcycle around the country for Breast Cancer. We covered over 3,000 miles in the worst weather but we made it.
It was called the lucky 7's challenge, we were 7 women and we visited 7 ports, 7 sentinal points, 7 bridges, 7 castles and finished on the 7th July.
It was exhausting and at the moment we have raised just over £4,000 for Breast Cancer Care.
If anyone wants to know more or wants to look at the account of the ride then PM me - there are photos too.
Anyway it's nice to be back and be warm and dry
I have pm'd you too- well done that is so fantastic, can't wait to see more
I volunteered as a marshall on the moonwalk, stood on a street corner in Kensington all night- between 17-18 mile markers- wow what an experience, couldn't talk for about 3 days after!!!!! Those walkers were awe inspiring and it was so cold that night, made my race for life last Sunday seem like such a small gesture. I will definitely volunteer to help at moonwalk again- retrogression means I will still be here for the next one (or even two:o)
THanks everyone for you interest in my ride, I have had quite a few PMs and have sent the link to those that have asked.
For anyone else who may be interested my ride report and photos can be found http://www.pinkwayround.co.uk/forums.html in the lucky 7's section the thread entitiled our challenge.
We have raised £4,400 so far our target is £7,000 for breast cancer care. If anyone is interested in giving there is a link at the bottom of my report.
I hope the mods don't mind me posting this but if moderators have any objection to this post please remove it and I can continue to PM anyone interested
