I check these forums everyday hoping to find someone an alum or applicant from the SFSU Nursing program. I Google all possible phrases similar to "SFSU Nursing students" to try and find someone who is in or has graduated from the program.
I found a website from the first graduating class at the Canada program (SFSU has a satellite program that people with a BA/BS can apply to - the main campus doesn’t take 2nd bach, so this program allows people to apply and earn their BSN from SFSU though classes are held at a community college in Redwood City called Canada College) and I just find myself being INSANELY jealous of them.:angryfire
I PRAY (mind you, I’m not religious) that I get in and waiting until the last week of this month or early April is EATING AT MY SOUL.
Am I nuts? Nevermind. Don't answer that....I know the answer already, I'm just in denial. :trout:
I know im not supposed to be obsessing over anything, but just now i just wanted to look longingly at my school's website, just for a fix you know ( a fix? jeeezz im out of my damn mind) anyway, I wanted just to sneak a peak to make me feel better i dunno. Well reason being my parents relationship is over, my mom threw in the towel, finially decided enough is enough, I just saw my dad for the first time in three years, he looks awful, my dad was unrecognizable to me, he is under major stress and he just let himself go and it just kills me to see him that way I just had a serious heart to heart convo with him, which has left me emotionally drained i guess. (sorry just had to vent a little) Anyway long story short i wanted to just look at the website (still no phone call and I think im going to start crying again ) and the website CRASHED!!!! Its just all these letters and sentences and random crap!!!!!!!!! oh the horror!!!!!

I'm so sorry to hear about your parents. I know it's hard, especially at a time like this. (But hey! At least your apartment is clean! *nudge, nudge*
Seriously, though. I know how tough it is. :icon_hug: I hope your dad makes it through. It sounds uber cheesy, but I honestly think time heals everything. It just takes awhile...
Out of curiosity: When did your school say they were going to call for interviews. Do you know of anyone else that has already gotten a call?

They haven't Jewels , they haven't said anything about when they will call, just that if they decide to apcept me so to speak they will call. Im at my wits end. Im starting to think they have no intension of calling me, and after seeing the amazing scores people are posting, I am wondering what scores people who applied to my school are getting. Im thinking maybe i should just wrap my mind on having to retake it again next year I mean next week is the application deadline, so i don't know what happens from there. I didn't get any letters in the mail which is a good thing. WOuld you believe I am terrified to open my mailbox!!!
To top it off, I am soooo worried about my dad. I really think he is suffering from depression or he is mentally deteriorating, I'll tell you why in a private post. I have a paper that should have been submitted since monday, tonight is the last time i have to submit and i can't focus on writing it.

So i emailed the school yesterday and got a response today.
The person responding said that the admissions committee didn't make any decisions until May, and if Grades, GPA and NLN results are excellent that they would be called for an interview. I wouldn't necessarily call my numbers excellent....I don't want to be negative and think i probably won't be getting a phone call but it sure feels that way right now

I am so glad I found this thread! I have checked the SFSU graduate website everyday (even though I am not sure they are going to update it before the nursing school sends out the letters). Ack, every day I RACE to the mailbox.
It will be so nice to know.
