It happened....

I knew it would happen eventually.....I cried!!! LMAO! Last night I was stressed about our 1st test next week which is on 15 chapters AND what we've been doing in nursing lab. My husband comes home and was whining about me leaving my dinner plate on the coffee table!! Hello.....I have more important things on my mind! Anyway....so I cried! I had class yesterday and it was one of those days when I'm having second thoughts about doing this. But anyway, I'm better today! Just wanted to share my frustration, it feels good to get it out!

We all cry at some point. The stress gets to you - especially before a test. Just ask *my* husband. LOL Don't give up- even when you want to.

My new mottos is: Don't wish for it. Work for it.

You can do this.

ha, your husband prob won't yell about you leaving a dish around anymore! :0) good luck to you!!

I cried after my first clinical...and every day that weekend until class when I got to talk to my friends. lol. Nothing like a clinical buddy pep talk :)

I feel like quitting a lot. Nursing school is...uncomfortable, to say the least. But it's not forever :)

I cried on day 9 because it was the first day of blood pressures and I couldn't hear anything. I amazed I lasted that long!

OMG...you left your dinner plate on the coffee table???? What were you thinking???? Too bad he didn't put his bare hairy foot in it :) Seriously, please have compassion for yourself. This won't be the last time you crack. We've been there, and understand the stress. Best wishes!

Thanks everyone for the kinds words. It's definitely needed! I knew this would be tough and boy is it!

I made it all the way until week 3. In the middle of my vital signs check off my lovely nursing instructor made a really snarky comment about my pronunciation of a word. I don't know how I ended up passing because it threw me totally off and I screwed up all sorts of dumb crap. At least I made it to the car before I cried!

I had my first cry last Wednesday. I had two tests in my LPN program Wednesday and then tests in Phys and Micro Thursday. I was SOOOOOOOO stressed. I bet it'll happen again, too. My DH was so great about it.

Awww... Sometimes you never know what will bring on the tears when you're under so much pressure. Believe me, I remember the feeling well! It happens to all of us, and sometimes it can be the release you need in order to start feeling happier! Hope you're feeling better, and BEST OF LUCK on your upcoming test!

As a nursing student, I'm pretty sure crying is part of the job :) I cry a lot...usually it's caused by a combo of total stress and complete exhaustion!!! It comes with the territory and I've realized that I cry also because I CARE!! I want to do well and be a great nurse, it's something I'm very passionate about...and I think that passion comes out in the form of tears :)

Keep your head up and carry some tissues :) and you'll be just fine!

I cried after my clinical orientation. We started in LTC and I was so disturbed by what I saw that I came home and when my husband asked how it went I lost it.

One of our instructors said we could cry every day if we wanted, but we have to keep going.

Congratulations for only crying at home! My little cryfests have happened in class. I find that mortally embarassing.
