Is 22 points good enough 4 Weatherford College

Published

I wanted to see how I compare with all the other applicants, I have 22 points. How many do you have?

It's pretty much congrats, and confirm your acceptance, and some info about immunizations and drug screen and that kind of stuff. Says there's orientation on July 16th where we'll learn everything else.....guess we can't go buy scrubs just yet......lol.......at lease the waiting game is over, or will be very soon!!! :smiley_aa

so i'm probably happier than i should be but i got my letter as an accepted alternate!

this is as close as i've ever come to being accepted into the nursing program and as of this moment i am over the moon! i'll see you guys at orientation AND hopefully in classes! :jester:

Got my acceptance packet today-WOO HOO!!!!!:yeah:See you guys at orientation!!

Congrats everyone, my mail has not came yet. Hopefully I will get it in a few more hours.

Well I guess my 22 points was not good enough, because I only got in as an alternate. I'm so disappointed.

I got my acceptance letter today also!!! Finally........ cant wait to see everyone at the orientation. Congratulations to everyone!!!:yeah:

Okay so how many people get into the program? I applied at Weatherford and TCC and just got my letter from Weatherford saying I'm an alternate. HOPING TO GET IN!!!!

To those who got accepted as an alternate, keep your head up! I've kept track of the threads on Weatherford for 2 other application periods now, and many alternates get called to fill spaces. Some people apply to several different schools and choose to go somewhere else instead of Weatherford. Others don't fulfill the requirements, immunizations, background check, drug screen, etc. I would go ahead and go to orientation, and do everything else just like you got accepted, because you never know! ;)

ALTERNATES!--I talked to KL today, she said last year they had 20alt's and went through the list. THIS year they have 30, so hopefully we will ALL get a call to fill a spot!

I spoke to KL the other day and she told me that I was the only 22 that didnt get in, my teas was a 81:mad: But that means that I'm on the top of the alternate list, so that makes me happy. She told me to mail everything back in, so I'm still hopeful.

I'm trying to be hopeful but its killing me not knowing where I am on the alternate list... Hoping they go through as many alternates as last time! Also waiting to hear from TCC, I'm a mess because of all this! I just want to be in a program already!

Congratulations to those accepted and those on the alternate list!!

Can you explain the WC process to me (I am more familiar with the TCC process because it is so detailed on their website, but I can't find much info for WC). Is the TEAS taken after your application is submitted for WC? And do you get "bonus" points for every class you have completed outside of the few listed as prerequisites? I will be giving Karen a call on Monday, but I was wondering if those of you who have applied could shed some light on the process for me. I will be applying in the Fall for Spring 2011 entrance. TIA!
