Yeah they are good, but not good enough to sign a contract! I just purchased TCN guides on ebay for less than $30 each. How much did you say you paid?

In what sate did you sign? NY gives you 48 or 72 hours to get out of it, which have passed.

I didn't give them any down payment they are still waiting for my funds but I did sign a contract.............do that still count eventhough i didn't give them the $100 down

Specializes in ICU, PICC Nurse, Nursing Supervisor.

I think so. Send a certified letter and cancle. Call them and cancel. Even if they say you can't do the preceding. If they don't let you out ask a lawyer.

Yeah,Aisha--I bought TCN NC3 thru 7 for $130 on Ebay...

gator dog, where these the only sources you used for NC3-7? If so, do you feel that they were enough?

Nope, I used Flashcard Exchange extensively, Tina Logan's notes from Rue.edu and the EC practice exams (the ones you need to buy). I believe the EC materials alone are woefully inadequate. I've never understood what people see in those Content Guides. Minimal reading if you collate the combined sources--Flashcard Exchange,TCN practice exam (in the back of all TCN books),Logan's notes from Rue Education,EC practice exams.

All I used were the content guides to tell me what reading I needed to do. That, the texts, and the practice exams are all I used.

They're not intended for stand-alone use -- I always looked at them as a reading outline/class syllabus, as well as a knowledge check-off list before testing.

Specializes in Med/Surge, Private Duty Peds.

one has up to 72 hours or 3 business days to cancell the contract.

i almost fell for this, even signed but after the guy left i read the fine print and cancelled right away.

i called, made copies of everything( listed in the fine print ) and sent certified mail. saved me 3,000.00 plus! well worth the 3.50 for certified letter.

i hope you can get out of this.

use the recommended books, even an edition before say 7th instead of 8th, and the practice test.

look on ebay or half.com to find the books and used college network guides.
