Hello,
I am currently in A&P 1,with a grade in the high 80's (89.1). Anyhow, my question is did you find A&P 2 to be more difficult than A&P 1, or did you find it easier? Just wondering what others have thought about it.

I am currently in A&P II. I haven't found much difference in difficulty between the two because they go into the same details it just differs in the systems. In A&P I we went over integumentary, bones, muscles, nervous, and special senses. Now in A&P II we are going over the endocrine, reproductive, cardiovasular, lymphatic, digestive, respiratory...etc. I will say that I am enjoying A&P II more than I did A&P I, mostly because I find the systems very intresting.
But as far as difficulty, they are the same....maybe A&P II is a wee bit harder....but only a wee bit
Good luck!

Depends on what you prefer. I think two is more difficult than one... Probably because of the way my professor presents the information.

I thought they were about the same in material difficulty, however in A&P II I'd learned what the instructor was looking for and how to study the material which meant that I did better in A&P II.

I personally found APII to be much easier, but endocrine is a beast. That was easily the hardest chapter (at least for me) between AP I and II. I also tend to agree with the PP that it could have been due to my learning the Professor's style and was able to adjust properly for APII.

I definitely had an easier time with A&P 2, I think it's because there were more large structures rather than cellular function and formulas.

I am in A+P II right now, currently have an 88%, and for A+P 1 I ended with an A. It think it depends on your teacher. My A+P2 teacher is REALLY heavy on the physiology end which doesn't come easily for me. I nail the anatomy part every time, I usually only miss 2-3 questions on a 60-70 question practical. So because of this, I am spending hours outside of class just to get a high B in a+p2. I will end up with an A because of my lab scores but for me, yes a+p2 has been much more difficult. I hardly had to study the physiology part in a+p1 just because it was common sense for me. We are in the renal system right now and are literally down to the hormones that trigger what cells in the nephron and go on from there, it's so much info!! Cardiac physiology nearly killed me and I was tickled pink I got an 82 on that exam.

Well for me it was all about the teacher. For A&P I I had a first time teacher who read us the power points word for word. I asked a gazillion questions though or she'd have really stuck with just word for word. Which were actually word for word right from the book.
My A&P II teacher taught it geared twd nursing studies, he was seasoned, and just great. It's probably harder material since A&PI was more like just memorizing body landmarks and tissues but the teacher just made it easier to learn and understand it.

"more difficult" is subjective. Here is the thing..it DOESN'T MATTER if it is "easy" or "hard". It is required to be a nurse. If you want to be a nurse you must complete the class with an acceptable grade. Nothing more..nothing less.
Nobody said it wasn't required, or didn't have to be completed. It was a simple question if someone who took both thought one was more difficult than the other. Reading through the list of replies, people seemed to have understood the question. Nothing more, nothing less

I think A&P II is more complex than I - just takes a little time to comprehend the workings of the different systems of the human body.
