I am just wondering what you think my chances of getting the nursing program would be? I scored a 68 in the NLN (a bit low uhh?), a 3.11 GPA and have completed all the prerequisites with A's and B's. I am trying to get in for spring 2010 and worry myself everyday that I won't make the cut to get in.

dresses, skirts, white pants, PANTYHOSE. What in the heck. Hair up, natural makeup. One ring only, and no rings with stones, ie, I have to take off my engagement rings!!!....no body piercings (not a biggie, I figured as much...I have a teeny tiny nose ring)...go read it in the handbook. It's the epitome of conservative, and I am not lol. Blah.

And, no, not complaining, just shocked. I consider myself lucky and blessed to have gotten in. I will wear the pantyhose in florida with 100 degree weather with pride!!! :D

I've been trying to call all morning. The line has been busy since 0800. I guess there are a lot of dissapointed applicants. : (

My friend Chris walked down there between classes this am, and was told that 181 was the cut off score. And NO waiting list this term either. Whether that's a load of bs or not, IDK. GL! Keep us updated if you get in ;)

lol @askim....

I can't make any sense out of everything today.....It all seems so conflicting.

Well there has never been a "waiting list". There is an "alternate list" every semester which I saw someone got onto. I am so conflicted, but I had over 181 and was not let in.. so, yes. Very confused. : (

Does anyone know if there is anything that we are supposed to do before this meeting for the RN program on Oct 18th. I know we have to bring that form and a check, but we don't have to get the physical and all that stuff yet right?

No, I don't think so...I would think it would have been included if we did.

Getting excited yet?! I can hardly stand the waiting!

Yeah I think you are right Nomijen, and yes it is very exciting. I just want to find out more about the program itself. The meetings they do before you get in are mainly about how to get into the program. I don't really know what to expect now though, I read through parts of the handbook, but have way more questions. But hopefully they will discuss more at the mandatory meeting.

I started to read the handbook, I skimmed a bit since it was like 78 pages? Geez....we are going to be ruled to death. Do you workout? I know this is a terribly selfish thing, but I REFUSE to give up my workout time. I am just hoping I am not going to be sacrificing sleep to do it, but I will.

I feel like I have heard so many horror stories, and I don't mind it being hard...I want my degree to mean something, but idk about studying 15 hours a day. Ugh.

And to lose the thing that I use for stress relief. Not cool man. lol

Yeah thats all I did with the handbook as well. I really need to start working out again, I just can't seem to get motivated lately. I have a feeling that once we start the program though that I will be even less motivated.
