IRSC students

I am just wondering what you think my chances of getting the nursing program would be? I scored a 68 in the NLN (a bit low uhh?), a 3.11 GPA and have completed all the prerequisites with A's and B's. I am trying to get in for spring 2010 and worry myself everyday that I won't make the cut to get in.

Congrats TedeBare,

I have also been accepted into the RN for Spring 2011. Hope to see you there!

Thank you svdbyGrade and congrats to you as well!

Just an FYI Tedebare,

Another student that was accepted started a Facebook page for the IRSC ADN students of 2011. Always good to know people...

Thanks I will have to take a look at that.

Only a few days away now!

Hi, everyone,

i have a question for those more experienced with the application/admission process for the ADN program.

I applied for the Fall'11 program, and i'd llike to know what you think my chances are. Here's what i have:

NLN - 97 percentile

BSC2093 - A

BSC2093L - A

PSY2012 - A

SYG2000 -- A

DIE2201 -- A

DEP2004 - in progress

ENC1101 - in progress

Thanks

I dont think you have much of a chance as you have not completed all the pre-req's. It is very competative to get in and they go on the points system. You are missing a bunch of classes which affects your points.

I wanted to know how they choose who gets into the RN program at IRSC? I was attending USF and have 100 credits but none of those classes are requirements for the RN program (I have so many credits because I changed my major so many times)I will be getting my AA spring 11. Will they still look at those grades in considering if I am accepted into the RN program at IRSC?

The classes they look at are listed below. Then they also look at the score on the NLN exam. They pick students based solely on these scores (and if students are already CNA's, LPN's etc).

ENC 1101

ENC 1102 or 1107

CHM 1020

SYG 2000 or PSY 2012

BSC 2093

BSC 2093L

BSC 2094

BSC 2094L

MCB 2010

MCB 2010L

DEP 2004

HUN1201
