Hey everyone,
I plan on applying to IRSC's Nursing program for Spring 2017, and thought I would create this thread for us to talk about the application process! I was wondering if anyone knew the best way to study for the NLN? I keep seeing that they're updating the exam on IRSC's website, so I'm not sure if I should use the current study materials? Also has anyone had troubles figuring out transfer credits? I will have a BS from FSU and the courses that I've taken for A&P and Microbio have different course codes than the ones IRSC offers.
Good luck to everyone who plans on applying! Hopefully this thread can be as helpful as the last few semesters' threads have been.
yes you multiply the number of credits by the points per grade. you're able to get a maximum of 32 points. If you sign on to your myirsc account, there is a link to see your application status, they tell you how many points you have. Also, the points only count for A&P 1 plus lab, and micro plus lab. Hope that helps! Good luck with your score! Let us know how you did :)Hey everyone! I'm new to this thread and just finished my NLN. I'm nervous...I am a slow test taker and I was running out of time on each section. I've made A's in Bio, Chem and A&P 1 but still feel that wasn't enough for the science part. I also knew that review book backwards and forwards. I don't have my score yet. I have a question on extra points...I thought for every credit hour (4 for bio and lab) you multiply each credit by 4 for an A, 3 for a B and so on. A few people in my micro class said they attended the latest info session and if you make an A its just 4 points, B is 3 and so on. Does anyone know the correct scoring system?
alright i just got finish with my Test and it was honestly not that bad the most difficult part is the verbal because you don't know what to expect and the math was exactly the same like the book and science part was mostly biology and the book covered some of their information. but I'll let ya'll know what i got later when it's posted
yeah i took the exam today and only had 40 minutes for the verbal , almost ran out of time.
So for the verbal are you talking about you almost ran out of time for the vocab section of the test or was the reading comprehension and vocab all together and timed for 40 mins because other people's NLN test there was 9 passages that each gave you 40 mins per passage and then the vocab was a separate block that was 30 questions for 40 mins ? I'm just confused?
Honestly, i took mine yesterday and ran out of time. Its 40 mins for the passages AND the vocab together. So you have to finish reading and answering the questions and have vocabulary and everything in only 40 mins, it messed upmy score BADLY.
But then how come other ppls NLN test had 9 passages that gave them 40 mins per passage and then 30 vocab for 40 mins I'm just confused as to why there test and your test are completely different ??

So far i heard that everyone that took theres today only got 40 minutes total for the verbal/reading part. Which its crazy because everyone who took the nln last week got way more time so idk
