Did you apply for RN or LPN, and maybe the letters are just taking a while to process.

What makes you think you're just an alternate? Did they specifically say that?

I don't think it's a problem, if it was I'm sure they would have mentioned it in the information sessions.

You don't get points for gpa but they'll look to see if you have the minimum which I believe is 2.0 currently?

I think it's 6 weeks from sept. 1 but based on threads in the past it looks like some found out earlier! I hope that's the case this time, I can't wait any longer!

go to the NLN online testing site and click the link "reports" and there should be an option to view at the very bottom of the page

yes you multiply the number of credits by the points per grade. you're able to get a maximum of 32 points. If you sign on to your myirsc account, there is a link to see your application status, they tell you how many points you have. Also, the points only count for A&P 1 plus lab, and micro plus lab. Hope that helps! Good luck with your score! Let us know how you did :)

IRSC Spring 2017 Applicants
I don't really remember any questions like that. My best suggestion is to really read into the Biology and A&P section of the NLN book. There's some chemistry and physics but if you've taken a chemistry class you should be good, it doesn't get very complex.

I took the NLN today, this is my first time posting in this thread so hi everyone! I've been reading the comments and so far everyone that has taken it has explained it pretty well on here. Know your biology and A&P. I just about bombed the verbal at only 69% correct I'd say it was due to the vocabulary section, I felt pretty confident with the reading comprehension. I did really well on the math and science. My composite score was a 137. As long as you've been studying and practiced time management you should be good!

IRSC RN Class of 2017
I will be applying for 2017 as well! I've never taken the NLN so it will be my first time but I've attended all the review sessions and have lots of reviews to study. My hopes are high as far as getting accepted but I'm prepared that I may have to reapply for the fall program if I don't get in. I'm very eager to start the application process when it opens. Good luck to you, I hope to see you in the spring!
