IRSC ADN Spring 2013

U.S.A. Florida

Published

hi everybody!

it may be a bit early to start a thread for a program starting in spring of 2013, but i'm so excited and thought why not! anyways, i was enrolled in the adn program at irsc this past spring, but due to medical reasons, i decided to leave the program. now that i'm getting healthier i decided to get my cna license this fall and re-apply to the adnnursing program that starts spring 2013.

i learned a lot about irsc's nursing program, as well as the nln exam, so if you have any questions feel free to leave a comment because i would love to help out!

good luck to all of you!

Well ... my alternate status has been upgraded to acceptance ...YEY! Wish I could go celebrate ... but time to study for finals instead

@Christlee

Are you doing the one 10 hour day, or two 8 hour days at IRMC? I was assigned Tue/Wed @ SLMC, and would be willing to swap for the one day per week clinical. (unless it interferes with my Human Developement class ... gotta check my schedule)

Yeah.. am soooooo happy for you... I was rooting for you... congratulations...all the best!

Thanks a bunch Bizzimommee! See you in January!

congrats PDowling! I am scheduled for Wed, Thurs at IRMC.

@ Christlee

Oh OK. That unfortunately wont help my schedule any. Good luck ... I hope you find someone to swap with you.

....and thx!

Has anyone got the "final acceptance" email yet?also has anyone heard about the blue polo tops being in yet? That seems to be taking forever. Hope everyone is enjoying the holiday season.

boobear0299, the polo tops are in, I picked mine up today. The book store is open on Monday and Tuesday until 6:30 pm however, they are closed on Wednesday the 19th of December. I did not see a final acceptance letter yet but they sent some instructions on stuff to do to prepare for our fist day of class check your email.

Does anyone know if the "white uniform dresses with zipper front and insignia on left sleeve" we need are available at the nursing bookstore or at Perkins medical supply?

Says "white uniform skirts are acceptable or white professional shirts with zipper front' on the required uniform list in the ADN handbook. Not sure if the white zipper front dresses/ white skirts required for fundamentals, but I did find them at a medical uniform store.

@Mariahrose ... The white zip front uniform tops and/or dresses with the patch on the sleeve are for clinicals. For fundamentals, and all other classes at the college, we are to wear white pants (no jeans) with our embroidered blue polo shirts.

Congrats! Glad you got in :-)

Was wondering if you or anyone else remembered the name of the Student Nurse Association on campus, or how to find it to join....
