hi everybody!
it may be a bit early to start a thread for a program starting in spring of 2013, but i'm so excited and thought why not! anyways, i was enrolled in the adn program at irsc this past spring, but due to medical reasons, i decided to leave the program. now that i'm getting healthier i decided to get my cna license this fall and re-apply to the adnnursing program that starts spring 2013.
i learned a lot about irsc's nursing program, as well as the nln exam, so if you have any questions feel free to leave a comment because i would love to help out!
good luck to all of you!

Its never too early! I'm so excited as well. I don't have all my pre req done but I'm taking the NLN next month to know what to expect and applying for Spring 2013 anyways. Worst thing they can say is no right? I'm nervouse about the NLN. Have you taken the NLN yet?
I took the NLN last September and actually did very well. The most difficult portion of the exam is definitely the science section simply because there are so many topics to cover.
I was wicked nervous because each section is timed, but taking practice tests and just breathing put me at ease!
thank you so much jessica. i plan on taking the nln end of august and i plan to study my tail off prior to. i read in previous forums on allnurses how some students got in with fairly low scores. i hope i get accepted. nerve rattling.

What were your scores? If you don't mind me asking.

I took the NLN exam today and scored a 123 (85th percentile). My total points on my health science application is 238 out of 320, which is the highest possible amount of points. The NLN was quite challenging, but I think I did well for my first time. Last semester a friend of mine scored a 120 and had decent grades; she was accepted into the Fall 2012 program so I'm confident knowing that. Has anyone else on allnurses.com taken the NLN for Spring 2013 yet? Deadline is Sep.6...

I just took mine today!Wow math definatley did not have enough time so that hurt me. I did better then I felt like I did, as sitting there for that entire test without a break was making my head and eyes hurt. GRRR. Anyway I am an LPn who is attempting to get accepted for Spring 13. Any idea of when we will hear? Good luck to all.
I just took the NLN yesterday (Tuesday) and scored a 147.... glad all my hard work paid off! Last year acceptance letters for the spring were released about 4 or so weeks after the application deadline. I'm assuming that it will vary every semester though depending on school holidays and the number of applicants the nursing department has to sort through.
Wish you all the best :)
Not super confident: ( could have did better on NLN just ran out of time with 7 questions to spare on math. Since the old diet and nutrition is not longer being accepted I did not get points for that as the new nutrition class will not be over til Dec. Also Chm is fairly new so I also am doing that this semester. I did human dev at medvance along with my LPN but they will not recognize any of their pre reqs. That leaves an extra 12 point potential. What is everyone elses points looking like so far. Again good luck to all
