IRSC ADN Program Spring 2012

Published

Hello Everybody!!

I'm applying for the 2-year ADN program (starting Spring 2012) and thought it would be helpful to start a thread and conversate with other ADN hopefuls!

I have nearly all of the pre-reqs completed (except for Chemistry) with all A's and 2 B's, and I'm also currently studying like a mad woman for the NLN exam, which I will be taking in the next month or so.....It would be great to hear back from other applicants (and students already in the program) to see how my stats (and others) match up.

Thanks and good luck :)

Chic - I was thinking the same thing yesterday. I'm guessing it will be another 2-3 weeks before we hear anything. Waiting is the worst!! :)

Sunshine: Yes it is. Hopefully these next few weeks go by quickly.

I just checked a little while ago and my points have been updated to include my NLN cumulative score, so you guys may want to check yours again soon if yours haven't been updated to reflect that yet.

It's good to see things happen, hopefully letters come soon.

My points haven't been put in yet. The only change is on the NLN "points possible" column: instead of 0-99, it now shows 100-200. It's a start :yeah:

I see the same, they have updated my overall score, added my NLN and changed the range to 100-200.

What are the maximum number of points we can earn? I thought it was 219

The max number is 320 I believe because now you can obtain a max of 200 points on the NLN based on the composite whereas before you could only obtain 99, so it would be 200 possible NLN, then add the points from your prereqs. Hope this helps!

Oh wow okay! I was told that the nln points were based off the percentile you placed in (so max of 99). Was this the old point system?

Yes, 99 was the old. I think the new system (200 max on NLN) was changed sometime in July or August, according to one of the proctors when I took mine. If you took it before the point system changed and need to know what your percent score converts to, you can check the NLN site if you remember your login from the test because it has copies of your scores.

So glad I asked because I had NO idea this changed!! Thanks Sunshine!

You're very welcome!! Only a couple more weeks (I'm hoping) until we get the results! :)

Hopefuly....I'm wicked nervous!!! Good luck to you!
