To continue along this journey..
I went for my evaluation in Tampa, as they only gave me an option of three places, two in Tampa and one in Gainesville. My evaluation included a urine tox (unsupervised), a hair follicle test, and a PETH test. I also spoke to the MD for about 20 minutes. I’m not sure what my results came back as, I’m still waiting for them to send me a copy of his report and recommendations.. but IPN called me back today and let me know that his recommendations were for IOP, intensive outpatient rehab. They then sent me the number for 4 different facilities that are IPN approved. Funny enough, none of the places don’t take my insurance, so all out of pocket. The IOPs I’ve called so far range from about 6-8 weeks, about $3600-5600 for the program. I have two weeks to choose a facility but I’ll definitely be choosing one by this week! So far this process has taken about 5 weeks. 3/13 I self reported to IPN. 3/25 was my IPN eval ($900). 4/13 I received my recommendations. Next is to setup IOP. Will continue to keep everyone monitored and answer as many questions as possible!

Hang in there. Yeah, the cost is horrible, right?! So far, I have spent over 4k and only been in TPAPN since January.
Found out I still have one more "class" to do, but it is on hold for now. Looks like it is about another 300-500. Ugh. I need to get back to work, so I can pay for all of this!

Hello, which facility did you finally picked? Also, which place was 6 weeks. I too have to do IPN IOP and they gave me 3 facilities for which all are in Tampa and Gainesville. Funny because I live in Miami and one of the places said I had to go in for random drug test and it wasn’t doing to work out by me living so far. These people don’t even consider your area when they send recommendations.
Nope! They sure don’t. I went to M.S. in Tampa. But from the extensive comments I read, he always recommends some kind of rehab. For me, it was 6 weeks of intensive outpatient in which I cannot return to work until this is complete. I’m with another nurse, tomorrow I’ll find out which facility she went to and will comment again.
I only had to go to Tampa for my evaluation. All the IOP facilities are in sofla that they gave me.

oh lordy....just got my eval back.
...ALL TOX SCREENS negative, but still IOP recommend for possible relapse for an alcohol problem that ipn and their evaluators are just insisting I have.....oh and I would be a good candidate for vivitrol...which UF gets grant money for!! how come ipn and their evaluators aren't EVALUATED??
was told there were only 3 evaluators available ...all of their reviews showed negative and always recommend some kind of "treatment"

So nothing has changed. Back when (2014) those creeps sent me my ‘choices’ there was (of course) Gainesville, Atlanta (who couldn’t figure out what I needed, they replied we do drug rehab, not mental health, sorry) some place in Virginia (that never called me back) and some place in the swamps of south Florida (that refused to ‘evaluate’ saying they required a minimum 30 day stay....um for what might I ask?)
I find it interesting that the only useful option was Gainesville. Naturally. Everyone seems to get steered there. Probably because those tools are happy to lie, BS and write whatever looks useful to trap a person I to monitoring wether needed or not.
As far as Vivitrol, that used to be the option to weasel out of the key restriction. It was never offered to me (I’d have declined it anyway) because if your issue isn’t opiates, it’s useless (and probably dangerous if you ever need pain control for something). The only reason I got jammed with being treated like an addict (because according to them, everyone is addicted to something...yah, whatever) was because the ‘rehab’ I got suckered into (a certain place in Tampa that shall remain nameless, that I did not even realize was a rehab until I was knee deep in their ‘indoctrination’) used a defrocked (as in license was revoked for drug trafficking ) doc for the liason between IPN and themselves. Reeallll trustworthy there....Also curious that Tampa was 30 minutes from home and they send me all these BS places that are several hours drive or a plane ticket to get to. So, no they don’t consider your location. When Gainesville ‘recomandated’ further evaluation....all of a sudden Tampa was on the radar. Very interesting.
There is so much conflict of interest, money grubbing, and lying that goes on with this crap that it isn’t even remotely funny. It seems like they don’t even try to hide the obvious crookedness of the operation. Pretty brazen, I think.
I just don’t know what the solution is, other than to power through it, survive and come out the other end. I stopped being angry about it quite some time ago. I got (and still am) just plain disgusted.
