Hi everyone! I just thought I'd start the new State forums off with an introduction thread. Please feel free to reply to this thread if you wish. Otherwise, feel free to start a new topic if you wish to discuss other topics that are local or state related. Enjoy!
Hey Bean,
I visited your hometown last night for the first time. What a beautiful little town! Neighbors of ours (in the Joliet area) moved here a few years ago from Homewood, and suggested that a bunch of us go to dinner at Fresh Starts. Wow! What a nice place! Great food and even better desserts! After dinner we went across the street to the Brewery in the train station. We walked around a bit admiring the shops downtown. I just got back from Disney, and the thought struck me that Homewood looked a lot like something you would see there. Beautiful brick homes, a quaint downtown, etc.
I've lived in northern IL for most of my life and had no idea what your town has to offer. It is a well-kept secret. I live in a newly developed area and can only hope that 20 years from now we will have such a charming and thriving community.
I'm living in West-Central IL and will be starting the Accelerated BSN program at Blessing-Reiman College of Nursing in June. I'm new to this website and am loving it!
I grew up north of Des Moines, IA. I've just been in this area for 2 years now and I really do enjoy it!
I feel left out, I'm not from Chicago, but I love it there. However, I have to go w/ the Cardinals, we're HUGE fans!
Have a great week!
