I'm sure it was somewhat embarrassing to her. However, the way you reacted - discreet and professional, understanding and compassionate - will probably do a lot to help you get the job.Good luck!
She apologized for crying. I told her it was fine.
I get emotional when talking about some of my previous patients too. I just know how to modulate my emotions while interviewing.
Hmm. IDK. I kinda wonder if she was under incredible stress. Hopefully she didn't cry because you seemed like a nice person and there is nobody else in that place who she can confide in...BTW, LoveJoy, you and I are both "Advocates" of something, aren't we?!
I supposed. I was wondering where the nicknames came from. lol
i had a boss cry in front of me, one time.
(i think i made her cry, but that's another story.)
boss became profusely embarrassed and apologetic.
i called her a wuss.
(no i didn't- hahahaha).
i just stood there with a sympathetic look on my face, then redirected conversation to issue at hand.
it takes all kinds...
and it has taken me awhile to appreciate that.:)

First I thought it was by how many years you had been on this board, but it's not. Hmmm. One of the mods/staff commented somewhere that the idea behind those would be soon revealed.
Sorry - thread hijack
I kinda thought it was related to how many years you had been on the board too - what made you decide it wasn't? Seems everyone is trying to figure this out and the mods aren't ready to spill the beans (to busy frying bigger fish :)). Maybe it is by how many posts you have had??? I'm an advocate too and I advocate for figuring this little mystery out.

Today I went on an interview and the lady that interviewed starting crying while talking about her clients. I was very moved by her emotions and glad that she truly cares about these clients. I was just a little shocked, and didn't really know what to say. Anyone else cry or either had the interviewer cry during an interview?
