I just did the interview today :) it went well, so I'm glad. :wink2: The interview does cost a lot. But, it's all well though. The program and its services sounds good, and its inviting. But I will have to scrutinize every angle, to think ahead and make sure I make the right decision. :) as for now, I'm having positive thoughts about it.What I just worry is that, would what we will be earning there, be enough for everything per month (food, accomodation, loans, and etc.).
thanks.

Annie it is very expensive to live in the UK and as a carer (part time because your only able to work the specified hours) you will earn minimum wage.

Hi. thanks for the advice. :)
Yeah, I've thought about it, earning minimum wage, if not minimum, close to the minumum wage which is 5.8/hr. Some get 6.5 and above per hour.

Annie you also have to bear in mind that you will need to pay for things like heating, warm clothes it is going to be winter soon here in the UK and temperatures drop below 0 degrees most days.
Food and fuel is expensive with petrol being £1.05 a litre. Depending on where you live rent will also be something to consider, major cities the cost of living is difficult for those earning a good wage
The course that you will study for will not qualify to work as a nurse in the UK and once the course has finished you will be required to leave the UK.
Sorry to sound all doom and gloom but things are not brilliant in the UK at the moment, the NHS is not a happy place to work and the cost of living is increasing with more and more UK citizens out of work than ever,
hi guys!
i actually applied for this kind of scheme..my parents supported me financially..however i didnt used any agency to process my papers..i personally handled everything, i processed my papers and communicated with the school myself..i waited for 5 months then my visa was released. i can now go to london as a student. im kind of having second thoughts because i know no one there however i cannot back out because of all the expenses that we have made so far..excited and at the same time a little bit wary..hehehe
Nerie, the package cost of PHP248K that includes one year full payment of course fee is true. They just have another batch of students who arrived here last month. The processing, according to this last batch, by this consultancy firm ,only takes 3 to 5 days. Yes, you read it right DAYS lang.
Best regards.
There are agents in the Philippines who over advertize and when their students arrives here in the UK, they are made to wait for a couple of months before they are placed in a senior home /placement provider. These agents have more students than placement providers. My warning is to make sure that your agent has a ready placement provider before you leave the Philippines. It is better to wait there in th Philippines rather than come here without any source of income to cover your expenses. Let's not burden our parents or sponsors anymore once we are already here in the UK. It is more than enough that they opened the door for us. Once we are here, it should already be up to us how to make both ends meet. Very difficult but with proper budgeting and a looot of sacrifice, nothing is impossible. Just be reasy for the worst so that you will not be dissapointed.
