"Re: International Student Advisors 4U@ nurseinuk - yup, the British Embassy speed up the process. I applied for my visa last Oct 16 and regrettably, it was denied since i only furnished a Certified True Copy of my BankBook (its a joint account so i cant leave the original at the embass). I've requested for an administrative review since the lawyer of ISA said that the CTR is as good as the original.

When i went to ISA's office in Makati last Oct 14), I met a number of applicants who are still waiting for their placement providers before they can leave, although they already have their visas approved (some, last September pa). "

hi we are the same from ISA. i was denied too because of insufficient funds but im not. i have two accounts passed to the VAC ( bank statement from BPI and passbook from BDO all original) the total amount is more than P600,000. The agnecy asked me to apply for administrative review. Hows your visa now? the birtish embassy approved it? how long it will take? pls reply. i can give you my email so that we chat communicate. PLs reply whoever encountered this situation. thanks

is there any such payment for the NHS? some of my batchmates in ISA told me that they are asking for Php35000 for the NHS (i really dont know if it is for the registration or what)

There should be no fees for the NHS, I would suggest you get a clear explanation to what the money is required for

This sounds very dodgy, you need to get clarification about exactly what this money is going towards.

i already asked ISA about the Php35000 fee for the NHS. and they told me that the fee is for the brokers fee. i dont know whats that all about.

does the brokers fee for NHS exists?

Personally I would say you are paying the agency a broker fee not the NHS. To the best of my knowledge there is no such thing as a broker for the NHS, wouldn't be allowed.

I really don't think so, this money will be going to ISA rather than into the NHS I imagine.

What exactly will you be doing for the NHS

i think so. thanks for the replies. ^.^

another question, is there any institution named PNM in the UK?

WARNING ! This is just to warn all Filipino students coming for the UK NVQ in Health & Social Care program. Many , and I mean MANY students who are here are crying their hearts out because they don't have any placement providers. They claim that they were not informed by their agents in the Philippines which is quiet unbelievable. For the info of everyone, a big number of training providers DO NOT provide any placement provider anymore. Therefore, before you leave your country, please make sure to ask your agent and make sure what they offer.

another question, is there any institution named PNM in the UK?

Do you have more information like where they are based?

Before considering any institution, please check if this institution is registered with UKBA List of registered Training institution http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitecontent/documents/employersandsponsors/pointsbasedsystem/registerofsponsorseducation

What is the register of sponsors?

The register of sponsors lists all organisations that the UK Border Agency has approved to employ migrants or sponsor migrant students. On 31 March 2009, the register of sponsors replaced the register of education and training providers published by the Department for Innovation, Universities & Skills (and previously by the Department for Education and Skills).

Under the points-based system, if you are an employer or education provider who wants to act as a sponsor, you will need a licence. Once you get a licence, you are added to the register of sponsors.
