  1. none...every agency has just money on their mind..i have other friends and many others i have met here in UK and they were fooled by those agencies...you really will feel sorry for a lot of students here in Uk...
  2. hmm...actually if you want to apply as a student visa, or an ONP course here in the UK either way you will really have to pass hurdles and everything. Sometimes you have to start at the bottom..there is no easy way, its always the hard way..the choice is within you and it depends where your luck and prayers is..
  3. yeah thats what im doing to. im actualy going on a student visa, my visa was granted.i apllied it myself. i just want a change of environment, to experience the healthcare setting in uk even though only as a student visa. at least it gives me a hand on experience even as a nursing assistant. it will also be an opportunity to observe thier healthcare setup. after my 2 year studies im planning not stay on uk, beacuse of the high standard of living. probably go to nz or ausi until my visa for US will be granted. who am i to complain for a job below my nursing degree when i have no job for myself. you cant eat or put food on the table for complaining. maybe that's a lot of filipino nurses accept this kind of scheme. a sacrifice for the lesser of two evils.
  4. ill inform you guys and update whatever happens to me there so that you'll be able to know the pros and cons of applying to this kind of program..
  5. hi guys! i actually applied for this kind of scheme..my parents supported me financially..however i didnt used any agency to process my papers..i personally handled everything, i processed my papers and communicated with the school myself..i waited for 5 months then my visa was released. i can now go to london as a student. im kind of having second thoughts because i know no one there however i cannot back out because of all the expenses that we have made so far..excited and at the same time a little bit wary..hehehe
  6. hi..interested in this kind of setting..but unfortunately it's not easy to find this kind of job..moreover there are no offers or positions for this kind of setting
  7. yeah I agree with u!there are a lot worse things that I can think of but too bloody to post here..hehehe
  8. im not being overly dramatic about things..it depends on one's opinion of things..i respect of that of yours..what i meant was on volunteering so im willing to volunteer without pay..and with regards to payment ive been working over a year now in a hospital were i work too much and they pay little..so there is no actually difference if thre is payment or not..second of all even if i get paid its not enough to compensate me for my daily expenses so my parents still actually gives me allowance since they know that here in our country nurses are underpaid..thats why im willing to work during pandemic..3rd of all maybe im thinking this way because im single and i know that my family can provide themselves with everything so im wiling to go to the extremes..and 4th with proper precautionary measures and im sure vaccines, mask etc are given before you work or volunteer so i dont think we will easily get sick so that means i still be able to take care of others..answer me this..what if there is an outbreak of something and no one to pay you, would you help knowing you know about health???
  9. well..there are actually some hospitals that hire pretty, young and tall nurses..from were i work from, they recently have been hiring young, pretty and about 5 feet and above female and male nurses..and most of the patient i encounter often have comments like "all nurses here are beautiful or all of you are young" when you visit our hospital from the med tech's to rad techs has the same kind of staff..its not a requirement but mostly these are the characteristics..not all are pretty and the likes but most are..
  10. its hard to find nursing jobs this day..but if you know someone with a high position in a hospital im sure youll get the job
  11. wiht or without pay..im willing to work during pandemic..it doesnt matter what happens to me, what matters is you have help and save thousands..anyways hiding yourself from all the diseases doenst guarantee you wont have one..we are nurses..we have work during disasters annd holidays..if you cant take this kind of life, then probably nursing is not for you..
  12. to everyone's information, these nurses who actually applied for nurses but become caregivers is because they have no choice right?theyve got to claim what is offered..they do not complain what job is offered as long as it is related to their course.do you know why?because they have family that rely on them..nursing is costly..but dont you know that even a sidewalk vendor can send her child to study nursing?well there is a long story behind that that i couldnt express more..thats why filipino nurses are all going out of the country because, yeah, the philippine government actually have no concern either on nurses and a lot of stuff..well i guess you wouldnt understand because youve never been here and acrtually see what it is like to live here..
  13. hmm..when i prepare and mix chemo drugs i wear gloves and mask..i dont have an apron though..but sometimes i have some on my hands..im not realy afraid..however your concerns are kinda scaring me..but i love doing chemos so it doesnt really bother me too much..
  14. im so into oncologic nursing..our hospital is a general ward..so we do chemos for pediatric, obstrectics and medsurg..so basically we kind of handle different kind of patients and different kind of cases..but im so much interested if i have patients for chemo..i want to be an oncologic nurse but our hospital dont have an oncolgy department so it just as it is..considered as a general ward experience..sometimes i dont know what to write on my resume but general ward..
  15. well base from my experience most patients who are nurses are nice..if they have more experience than you have they will teach you some stuff..but there is a but coming..patients who are student nurses or patients who have a student nurse relative are the pain in the orifice..they are the ones who are know-it-all..sometimes in my head i kept having this litany im a professional nurse and she's a student nurse..i have the urge to say it but...
