Hi everyone, please help me.

I graduated last march 2007 here in the Philippines and I have my license here already.

Because of oversupply of nurses here, it's too difficult to find a job.

That's why I'm looking forward to working in Australia or New Zealand.

However, I'm confused. Esp about Australia.

I already have my bachelors degree here.

When I go there in Aus to work as RN, must I take a diploma in nursing first? can I work while studying?

After obtaining my diploma there, am I already a registered nurse?

Thank you!

Hey, blinq! Yup, got it. Thanks for the advice.:yeah: my "secretary" :jester: replied to your pm already. LOL:jester::D:D:D

Hey, I finally mailed my application to NMBWA already..whew, still got a looong way to go. Wish me luck.

I booked mine with Singapore Airlines. Qantas is kinda expensive. But there are others you can choose from, Cathay Pacific, Malaysia Air and even Royal Brunei..Rates vary though so you have to choose the right travel agency.. :)

how much is Singapore Airlines? Are you on visa 575?

Hello Chabeli:D

Nope, I am on a visa subclass 573 level 2:wink2:

We share the same sentiment though..getting so anxious each passing day:cry: My agent from IDP told me the whole process will only take 1-2 weeks yet no updates from them the past 2 weeks..

Hmm...well I think NO NEWS is still GOOD NEWS..simply means that my documents are in order..keeping my hopes high:dncgbby::dncgcpd:...

Will be having my bridging program at Curtin. What state will you be having your BP?

Good luck to the both of us chabelli, let's pray that our CO's will speed up the visa processing..

Please keep in touch as soon as your visa is granted as I'll do the same..

t.

Now, the countdown and the waiting begins..(sigh)

:wink2::wink2::wink2:

Mine is 575 --still level 2 for non-award studies... I haven't received my email acknowledgement yet.

guys, is studying for certificate 4 expensive? like 15 weeks bridging program expensive?, also is it under a student visa?

guys, is studying for certificate 4 expensive? like 15 weeks bridging program expensive?, also is it under a student visa?

Hi! anyad, studying for certificate 4, it all depends on the school you choose. bridging program is a different thing and it's also depends on where or which state you want to take you BP. Schooling you need to have student visa, BP some provider will need short stay visa. Some are required for student visa because of the duration course. Hope this would helps. Guys! feel free to correct me with this. :specs::D

If i want to be a PCA do i still need to undergo schooling?, does aus hire nurses from Phil to work as PCAs? cus from what i read, the BPs are for those who want to be registered nurses in aus???

hi everyone! im new here!

i've read some nice & successful stories for the past few days! Good luck to everyone arrivin in or already in VICTORIA or QUEENSLAND.

im just about to start my application though., may i just ask from fellow applicants here, how long does the assessment take for victoria or queensland nowadays? if all papers are in and complete with IELTS AND license verification.

hope you can share some experience... ive been tryin to catch up with this thread but it's been goin forever for me to finish every page and the info's may not be applicable any more, im afraid... :)

@anyad

Im a PCA here at WA and a license RN in Phil. They hire me even though i dont have a cert.3 or 4 because my qualifications are good enough. an RN in our homeland without experience..

maybe it just depends on the institutions... but as far as i've known Ryan as well is a PCA and he didn't undergo a cert 3 or 4.

hope this helps...

@NEWMAC

wow!! good on you.. Complete requirements... whew!! pass it right away man.. so that you can have your BP before JULY 2010

@ NEWMAC

i THink if you have complete requirements and a good and reliable courier service your application will be receive easily and will inform you not less than a month. i think soo... ask for RYAN he's doing his BP in DEakin.

as for me i still lack my cert of registration from PRC and they will release it january next year... :crying2::crying2::crying2:

do you have any experience newmac?? and what UNI or Hosp are you planning to take your BP in Vic?

GoodLuck AND GodBless on your application...

wow. Allnurses really is a blessing for nurses who have no idea how to apply for international jobs (as nurses). :)

Guys, who here knows which schools offer bridging program courses? how do i start with the application? should we register first with a nursing council and they will choose which school we should enroll to, or can we choose the school we want to take our bridging program with?

Which are the cheapest programs available as of this time?

Thanks! Please help me.
